It really depends on what kind of paper you like. This is a landscape A5 book (I wanted the A4 but can’t find it here.) with quite heavy tough paper. Sometimes you have to ignore the paper and the price and just paint.

Compré el sketchbook porque se supone que es de 100% algodón. Tal vez mi culpa fue no fijarme en que es prensado en frío. La acuarela no camina bien. Es muy difícil pintar en él. La calidad del encuadernado es buena.

I’m learning to use gouache, which is a new medium for me. This sketchbook is wonderful! The paper doesn’t buckle much, but any buckling goes away when dry. It is smooth, not textured, which is what I like. If you like cold pressed watercolor paper you may not like this as much. It also has a pocket in the back where you can tuck in your sketches or swatch sheets.

Good paper. Not as thick as I anticipated but good enough for light watercolor works. It's hot press. I'm going to make a watercolor painting storybook with this notebook. It does NOT bleed through even though it is a thinner paper. It's good paper. Definitely something I will purchase again but in the larger size next time to make bigger vibrant paintings. I like that I can tell a story with watercolor in this notebook. Will purchase again.

I wanted good quality watercolor paper for small, sketch-pad use. This booklet of sheets fit the bill. I have made two small paintings so far and the sheets have performed just as I hoped, needed, and desired. My intention is to keep these small paintings intact in the booklet, but I suppose they could be cut out, if desired. That might, however, damage the overall integrity of the product. Bottom line, good quality watercolor paper for small paintings.
