I have two of these because I like them so much, I felt I needed a backup. I have had my first one for 5 years and 2nd since Dec of 2024. I was finding the link to share with a friend and saw the option to give a review.My first one has some wear issues but the amount of crap I put it in and the amount of travel it has endured, I would expect a few hold in the lining but the bag and stitching itself is still amazing. I’m very hard on this bag. It still looks amazing, I get compliments on it all the time. I expect to have and use these bags for atlas 20 years.

Ideal work bag. All my essentials fit in it and the bag is light weight. The color is vibrant as well. Work the money.

I get so many compliments when I roll in to the office with this bag. It looks very elegant and is more stylish than the black nylon bags. It does not hold a lot of items--I can fit my laptop with sleeve and some file folders, calendar, writing pad, etc... without any trouble but it starts getting packed if I try to put a book or two in there. The outside pocket holds my wallet, sunglasses, and keys. Inside pockets for pencils, pens, cell phone, and small makeup bag. Overall, it's a winner and totally worth the money!July 1, 20142nd Review. After almost four years of abusing this briefcase across city streets, up and down stairs, and as a trolley for boxes, it's time to get another one. To the cursory eye, it looks fine and other people would probably keep using it for another six months or so. But if you look closely, some of the stitching is getting frayed and the bottom of the briefcase is coming apart. But I think it's actually a testament to the product that it's held together thus far. I've kicked it, dropped it, stood on it, and my son has hurled it down the stairs. Perhaps I'll try another color but the red is still very eye catching and I get many compliments from colleagues.My husband bought me the new vertical McKlein as a replacement for the horizontal one that I had for almost four years. So far, I'm not as pleased as I was with the horizontal one. Yes, it would certainly go down narrow aisles (airplanes and classrooms) more easily. BUT because there is a smaller opening, it's harder to pry it open to get folders and other things into your bag. Hence, it's also tighter. I will give a follow-up review in a couple of weeks but so far I'm thinking of going to the trash dump and getting back my old McKlein.August 20, 2014I am coming around to my new vertical McKlein but one word of warning: If you are petite (I'm 5'1"), the vertical is harder to lug up and down steps since it's longer. I definitely will go back to the horizontal when this one expires in four years or so.September 2019I didn't realize it has been over 5 years since I got my second McKlein. It's now time to get my third one. It still looks great but the wheel is a bit wonky and the noise drives me crazy. Otherwise, this has been a great product. I've looked at other more expensive products and this one is definitely the worth the money. I am going back to the red horizontal bag.

I travel a lot and need a bag that can survive getting pulled, stuffed/jammed under seats, above in airline overheads, etc and still look good. This one has faired really well after 4 months. The hard plastic backing on the wheely part protects the bag from getting scratched and the wheels are sturdy and have (so far) survived bouncing up and down sidewalk curbs with no visible signs of wearing down. Its a nice thick leather and stitching giving it a quality look.The cons:1) The interior laptop section is too small for my 17" laptop. This could be a result of me not reading the product details enough but the laptop does fit nicely in the bag itself in the general interior section.2) The wheels stick out a little wider than the bag itself and I get caught up a lot around corners (e.g. turning into a smaller cubicle aisle). Not a big deal, just takes a bit to get used to swinging it wider than other laptop wheelers I've owned.Overall: Worth the money.

This is a truly a breathtaking bag- I often get compliments on it from both men and women. The bag detaches with ease, although I honestly have never used this feature other than checking out the ease, due to the desire not to carry too much on my shoulder. The bag is roomy, although important to note that the dimensions listed are for the bag and the frame, and not only the bag. When it came it was smaller than I thought it would be- but I have found it truly sufficient to carry work folder, extra supplies, water bottle, and snacks. The handle moves with ease, and the wheels are smooth. I have seen quite a bit of wear on the wheels in the past 6 weeks use, however, that might be a result of the worn Brooklyn streets! The dark maroon color is lovely, and the leather looks and feels nice. This is a must have for anyone who desires to get the weight off your shoulder and back!

I love this bag it’s professional looking for work. I had a red one before lasted for years. Durable I am having shoulder surgery and was carrying everything in laptop leather bag. It was heavy. I carry planner which I have down sized to just 1/2 year. A diabetic emergency kit I where pump so everything to change out if something happened. Then small cosmetic bag with Tylenol, allergy meds ect this all fits with room to spare. Go down stairs handle goes down quick grab leather handles get to bottom goes right back up. I travel plan on taking on trip nex week with the wheels we will see how that goes. Has a bag to cover it in the rain. Only draw back is winter rolling through the snow I pick it up and carry it to protect wheels from salt ect...

I last bought this bag in 2015. I used it to travel with my 17" personal laptop that I blog with, plus my corporate issued smaller laptop. Sadly the bag was recently stolen so I'm going to order a new one. It's stylish and durable. Definitely worth the price.

This bag is classy and professional. I would buy this bag by itself and appreciate the below market price, especially considering the attachment. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect it to be superb. Thank you McKlein! I plan to see what other products they offer. The inner pockets, sizing and the attached handle are well made and a beautiful design. I'm taking it for a spin on Monday. Love the water proof case. I may also use to protect when throwing in my trunk.

Pour le travail, elle est parfaite, mais je m’attendais à un peu plus grande. Par contre, les compartiments sont très bien devisés.

This laptop bag looks gorgeous - the colour is a lovely rich blue but it's really not very practical. The wheels are very poor quality and wear down quickly. Small stones frequently get lodged in the wheel mechanism which means they don't turn properly and then wear down unevenly. This makes it very loud. The leather is extremely hard and the zip doesn't go all the way down, which makes it difficulet to get your laptop and documents in and out. I've used this bag for 4 months and the silver is already coming off the handle. It's also quite heavy which makes it difficult to carry up stairs especially when it's fully loaded.
