King&Charles Cabinet Hardware Jig & Automatic Center Punch Set.

I don't have need for this type of tool on a regular basis, and perhaps could have done the work without it, but it's a nice tool to have in reserve. Easy to put together, great instructions, well-made, versatile adjustability, and a nifty zip up bag to keep all the pieces together. Happy I made the purchase and will make a great "gift" when I pare down my toolbox.

These drawer pull jigs range in price from $10 to upwards of $200. This one does the job perfectly (for $10). Perhaps the pricier ones make coffee or drill the holes for you, I will never know because this well designed tool dies exactly what I need it to do. I recommend using clamps to gently hold it it place. I have a couple deep throated clamps from Shop Fox that are perfect. (I think they're luthier's clamps for gluing bridge plates on acoustic guitars). With one on each of the hole positioner (gently-let's not deform anything) it's solid enough to drill through the steel? Enforced guide (which I did). Results were perfect. It's probably not designed to compete with heavy tools in your toolbox so it comes in a soft bag to keep the parts together. Take care of it and it will make installing drawer pulls very easy.

For the DIYer, this is a great jig for precisely locating your cabinet hardware with consistency. There are other more expensive versions out there, but they cost a lot more. This one worked as expected. It’s simple to set up. From the time I opened the box, it took less than 10 minutes to set it up for my first project. Probably would have been half that time if I had actually bothered to read the instructions. Once the jig is set up, marking the holes with the supplied spring-loaded punch is quick. You do need to take a little care with the punch as you can get it at an angle in the guide hole if you’re not careful. I like the method of only using the jig to locate the holes for the punch. The other versions out there show you drilling through the jig bushing. Trying to hold the jig, the cabinet door/drawer and the drill would be tricky. I pre-drilled the 11/64” holes with a 3/32” bit to ensure it stayed aligned with the punch marks. My first project was complete in less than 30 minutes from opening the box. I would definitely recommend this for the DIYer. The jig may not hold up long for the professional installer doing hundreds of pulls each year. I dinged this product 1 star because of the instructions. The product is made in China and the instructions are translated from Chinese (assumption). I see this all the time. The translators, probably software, do a poor job with the English language. The front cover of the instruction pamphlet is titled “Handle Cabinet Haroware Jig”. The next line says “Metric and Imoerial Double Scale”. Then key features are listed that include “Porous Measurement” and “Protable”. The back of the pamphlet says “How to Intall”. There are multiple grammar errors within the instructions as well. These are easily corrected if reviewed by someone that has English as the first language.

I’m not a DIY expert, but this Jig made the whole process surprisingly easy. The jig is simple to set up, the measurements are accurate, and everything stays firmly in place while you work. Even as a beginner, I was able to install all my cabinet handles with confidence. The included automatic center punch is a standout feature. It marks the drilling spot cleanly and prevents the bit from slipping, which means no jitter, no crooked holes, and no wasted hardware. The jig feels sturdy, well‑built, and accurate, making the whole installation process faster and stress‑free. If you want clean, professional-looking results without the guesswork, I highly recommend this product. It’s a perfect set for home projects.

This thing is perfect, as long as you follow the instructions and keep all the pieces together, you will get perfect pilot holes every time for your projects, cabinets, furniture flipping, whatever you need it for. I love the little hole puncture thing, it has cut down on so much time of having to measure for new hardware on pieces. You don’t have to worry about it needing to fit on a specific thing, it fits on everything. I use this for fitting new hardware onto flipped furniture. It’s a good size because it has a range for big and small hardware, we also used it in a kitchen renovation. Makes it look really professional! Very stable to use if you’re using it right.

This isn’t built to last but it is really cheap and if you’re only installing cabinet handles for one kitchen it will do the job. It is a little rickety but hey it works okay. If you intend to install multiple kitchens/bathrooms/closets etc I recommend you buy something else.

The jig seems reasonably sturdy for its purpose - mostly made of harden plastic with metal surfaces to pass your drillbit. I had never used one of these jigs in the past so was reliant on the instructions. I think the verbiage on the instructions is easy enough to understand, but as I held the device up to my project, it was clear that I had not understood the real instructions. I think the confusing thing was the orientation of the jig in relation to your project e.g. left versus right door. A little bit of tweaking and revising my understanding of the instructions and everything worked out perfectly.

Would definitely recommend. Super easy to use.

I used this to do my shop cabinet door and drawer handles.....it all worked out well.....but I will say it's not the sturdiest jig. But with a clamp and a steady hand you can get good results. Personally I used the steel lined guide holes to drill directly with my bit without using the marking tool. I'm sure you could do either but just make sure you have a good hold on it and use clamps as the plastic can flex. I would guess on spread out handles using the full ruler it would be dicey without clamps. Secondly I didn't reply on the rulers simply because I use always measure with a dead accurate quality ruler. But I found the easiest way to determine your handle holes is to attach them to the jig and tighten down or lay beside the holes and center it by eye. This worked for me but double check everything prior to drilling.
