I had to buy these for my botfriend for his job to replace the older style cause they toreHe says they are comfy , keeps his feet dry when it rains , and they fit perfectlyAlso the zipper on them works nicely tooThe only issue on the first day he wore them the velcro didnt hold at first , but after that the velcro has been holding without coming undone

Just got them, and I'm really happy with these boots. I was shoveling snow in them within an hour and they're very comfortable, warm, and dry. Not stiff at all out of the box. They feel lightweight but durable. Time will tell how they hold up. First impressions:1. They are much more comfortable than three other similar pairs I tried from other sites/big box stores.2. I wear a nine. These fit like a glove. Perfect.3. The laces run down onto the toe box a bit, so you can tighten them as you wish.4. The toe box is large enough to use inserts for plantar fasciitis, etc... This is a big plus for me. The inserts actually improved the fit a bit.5. The leather parts look shineable. They'll look great with a decent polish.6. The zipper on the side is nice but unnecessary: I find it easier just use the laces when putting them on. The zippers on both boots were a little sticky from a drop of glue that had oozed onto them. No big deal, I just scraped the glue and dangling threads off and they worked fine. Not worth returning them over it.Overall, I really like these boots. The price is terrific too.

They seem OK so far, but it is too early to tell whether they work well or not as I have only worn them twice and they are not yet broken-in. The side zip has a web across the opening, which makes it a little tight to slide them on for my big feet and twig legs, since they are laced up tight. The fit was spot-on.I will update the review in a few months after I have worn them a bunch.UPDATE: I have worn these a bunch while hiking now. They've dropped a star since my initial review. They're still OK, but just OK, not great. There are a few annoying items: 1) The side zippers are way lighter-duty than I would have expected for this application. I expect the zippers to be the first things to go. 2) The web across the side zip opening is not very generous, meaning the boots are still a chore to get on and off. Another 1/2 inch of material would have made slipping them off and on much easier. 3) I could forgive there being a web in the first place if it helped with water protection, but it does not. If you step in more than maybe an inch and a half of water, your socks are getting wet pretty quickly.I've put maybe 30-40 miles on them, so they're still pretty new. They just don't have the feel of some of my previous boots. They still look good, but they feel as if they are just not going to last very long.Update 2: The final update. I am keeping 4 stars because I still think these are a decent value, but only because they are so darned cheap. I have used them for 6 months and put about 250 miles hiking on them - but I am in the market for new boots now. They perform "acceptably" in most areas, but excel in none. The main reason for retiring them from active hiking and relegating them for yard work, is that they are the least waterproof boots I have ever owned. If you just splash through an inch deep puddle, somehow your socks end up soaked immediately. The tread is also more vinyl-like than rubber-like, so before the tread bites into the ground, they'll slide a bit. For the $40-$50 they charge for these it's a decent buy, but don't expect high-performance boots.

My husband absolutely loves these boots, the look, the comfort, and the quality. He wears them for work everyday 8 hours on his feet so he puts them through alot, he wears them in the rain, snow, dirt, and mud and they hold up and last for a pretty good stretch of time. The quality seems to have improved over the last 2 years too, they are holding up better and longer even though he still puts them through the ringer everyday. I am a boot wearing old guy! I have cheap boots and expensive boots, dress boots and yard-work boots, boat boots, kayaking boots and motorcycle boots. I have owned several pairs from Nortiv8. Like all of them for one reason or another. I bought these military/tactical boots for motorcycle riding. They are replacing the soft brown pair in the photo. I went with the leather forefoot for shifting protection. They are well made, fit perfect, offer protection for my ankles, and the zipper is the additional feature that caused me to try them. So far, I am pleased with them. Comfortable, protective, and easy on-off. And of course I must mention they are all around as good as some more costly name-brand boots I've owned. Well done Nortiv! I wear these for work. I work 12 hour shifts, walk 8 to 9 miles a shift and stand for a considerable amount of time with no ill effects. I did change the insole to a good orthotic, but as a precaution not because the original wasn't adequate. They do run large, but no some much that you'd need consider a smaller size. The toe box is adequate, but not roomy as I'd hoped. For the price, I'll order pair when these give out.

Awesome boots!!!At first they were a little stiff ; but after a couple of rides these things are like wearing tennis shoes. Very comfortable and good quality. Slip resistant a big plus. Highly recommended. I'm looking to get another color super happy with this purchase. For the price it's a no Brainer

By powerful I mean I wear these everyday, all day. Indoor, outdoor, at the time of this review they are my only footware. Why the 4 star instead of five? While they seem more durable than a crowbar, the insoles are sadly not. Disintegrated in under 2 months, leaving a honeycomb pattern that bit into my foot and grated cheap insoles like they were cheese. Easily fixed by buying quality insoles to replace them. Aside from that? Comfortable, durable, long lasting so far, and stylish as well as super easy to take on and off: Once tied and tucked, the laces stay without loosening and despite hot summers, snowy winters and infrequent rain, these boots don't quit. Better than walmart or even bootworld at a fraction of the price.

Very nice boots, they are comfortable and surprisingly warm in winter. I sprayed them with boot water resistant spray to give them a bit of extra. Love the colour.

This my second pair. Love these boots. Only complaint is after about 2 years the boot souls get crushed out.
