Does the mold hold its shape? Is it sturdy? I have bought other silicone molds that expand and do not hold their shape.

Yes it holds it's shape. But it's flexible, so I always put it on a cookie sheet before I put it in the oven. It is also sturdy. The only problem I have had is that is discolors on the edge, but that doesn't really effect anything.

How many pounds of soap does this hold

It’s been a while since I’ve used the mold but I’m pretty sure it holds 2 lbs. it’s a great mold. Be sure to set it on a cookie sheet or something sturdy before you start filling it up. Hope this helps!

Baking temperature same as in recipe?

Yes, baking temperature is the same as in most recipes. The my favorite scone recipe is baked at 375 and it works very well. I would not go much above that temperature, but you usually don't bake a high heats.
