Hands Down the Best wax based pencil to be had in today's market! Beats them all including Holbein and Prisma Premier in creaminess and handling! (I'm only making a comparison with other professional brands.)The seller was prompt in mailing out the order, and the packaging of the pencil was wonderful. Several layers of bubble wrapped around the pencil and then placed in a box that fit perfectly. They went to great lengths to make sure there would be no jarring or bumping. Because of this attention to detail, no broken core. Compare this to another open stock pencil that I ordered that same day, from a different seller. It was just put in a bubble wrap envelope, that was much too big and yep, broken core on that one. I so hate having to heat my pencils because the seller was careless.Thank you for the intact core on this one!

The best white pencil I have ever used

I absolutely love this pencil! I use it for blending and it is better than any other white pencils I have which are Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell Polychromos, Derwent etc It’s a little pricey but well worth it.

These open stock white pencils are purchased by many artists because they are the best available for fine lines, details, and highlighting. People supplement other brands of color pencils with these white pencils.

Beautifully intact

I am more than pleased with this pencil. I hesitated over the cost, thinking this is an awful lot for just one white pencil. I was pleasantly surprised to find that its actually a box of THREE!I'm an adult coloring book fan and wanted this for blending and brilliance for white areas. The smoothness is beyond description. This pencil melts like butter on the page and blends beautifully. It does soften the affect of your underlying colors, so that is something to be aware of. It is fabulous for creating pastel shades. I've heard for more brilliance when wanting a white area, that by using over another white, such as a white prisma color, really makes this pop. I am using this along with prisma colors at thus time.Now that I've experienced one of the Luminance pencils, I wish I could have more colors to use.

Every artist is always looking for ways to make their artwork better, as I do and this is an excellent pencil. I normally use Faber-Castell Polychromos white but find the colour doesn't lay down as well on other colours as this Caran Dache white does.It is much more vibrant and makes the highlights pop, especially on black as you can see on my drawing.Highly recommended for any artist looking to make their work stand out.

You want to know how opaque this is, it's the second best white I've encountered so far.1st Staedtler Lumocolor Glasochrom Pencil White - This will cover anything with white, nearly as good as an ink or tipex, it's by far the best.2nd Caran D'Ache Luminance 6901 White - It's about 60% as good as the Glasochrom, however it's the most opaque "coloured pencil" white.3rd Conté à Paris Drawing Pencil White (Non Colored Pencil, 11mm) or Sanford Prismacolor White (Wax based Coloured Pencil)The rest (Various Derwent, Faber Castell Polychromo, Lyra Rembrandt) are all more suitable for blending or lightening values slightly.

I wanted a white pencil to draw on black paper with. I have always been impressed with the quality of Caran D'Ache products, and this is no exception,

The white is very opaque and the pencil writes as smooth as silk. Caran D' Ache is high quality, so paying more is expected. Highly recommended.

Have been looking for a decent white pencil and I found it at last .It applies smoothly and yes you can see it ,good coverage. Great white pencil
