iOttie Easy One Touch Signature CD Slot Car Mount for Smartphone iPhone 18

Upgraded to 5 stars. See below. I have a 2006 xterra with an aftermarket stereo that has a detachable faceplate. I have never used the CD player since I bought the car. Now it finally has a use! The mounting was relatively easy, the lever mechanism is very tight inside the CD slot. I needed two hands to get it closed. I did not need to use the additional bracket piece that came with it. My biggest issue is every suction cup/em glue phone mount would fail in my car because the dash gets so hot in the summer. You can see the most recent failure on my dash above the vent. This phone mount is really sturdy and I don't have to worry about it melting. The cradle holds my Galaxy A32 5g tightly. My phone has a slim Otterbox on it making it 7 inches tall by 3 inches wide. My phone sits high in the cradle but it feels like it's stable. It has a little bit of wiggle but I think that's mostly from how my stereo is mounted in the dash. The next time I go play in the dirt with my car will be the true test. We have a lot of washboard roads in the Colorado rockies. I'll update this review when I've tested it on washed out dirt roads. Update 9/1/2022. This mount definitely keeps the phone securely held when driving on a washed out dirt road. I was in a really rocky and pitted road a couple of weeks ago and it didn't budge. Plus I was pleasantly surprised to learn that that bottom legs of the cradle can be adjusted to the size of your phone. I was wondering what that button was for. I probably missed that part in the description.

I have tried so many phone holders for my car, so I wasn’t expecting much more from this, but this is a GAME CHANGER! The piece that goes in the CD slot is totally secure and doesn’t allow the holder to flop around once I put my phone on. But the best part is the buttons/levers on the sides that you push to open up the holder, and then once you put your phone in the back of your phone pushes the panel and the holder snaps closed on the sides of your phone. It actually stays put!!! I also love that there’s a magnet on the back of the holder so you can attach your charging cord to have it nearby. However, the flimsy magnet tape that goes around my cord ripped and won’t stay on. So I MacGuyvered another small strong magnet onto my cord that is strong and attaches to the magnet on the back of the holder. I cannot say enough about how perfect this phone holder is!!!!!!!!!

Best phone holder I’ve had with one caveat. Stable in the CD slot. Super easy to get in and out but the ring that holds the phone upright breaks too easily. My first device lasted 11 months. My second replacement ring last 3 weeks. They’ve replaced the ring for me but they need to change the ring material or design. Or it should come with several extra rings, at minimum.

My gf bought the adhesive dash mount version and loved it so she sent me the link- I saw that I could get a CD slot version and after reading reviews that seemed promising, I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first but since it's free returns I figured wth. I am so happy with it- you don't have to deal with cleaning, positioning, sticking, hating it, trying to unstick and restick. With this one you just insert into the CD slot and (very nicely, don't brute force it) push the bracket up to secure the plates inside the slot. I definitely recommend reading the directions, it's really only 3 steps but the way it secures isn't obvious. The part the phone sits in is easy to adjust, it holds the phone tight(I have an iphone SE 3rd gen) and is easy to release/secure. I prefer this over the traditional mounts because the location is just a quick right glance to see your phone(at least where my cd slot is) and my right hand only has to move an inch away from the wheel if I need to tap and I can easily have my left hand still on the wheel. I haven't had any issues with it loosening or with glare so far. I did notice that if you have a somewhat shaky car at certain speeds your phone will shake along with it, but for me this isn't an issue. If I'm using gps I won't be going that fast when looking for directions and it hasn't distorted the view so far. I have a popsocket detachable wallet on the back of my phone case that I do remove when placing it in the mount for a more secured hold. My phone does block the radio screen but I can still adjust the volume knob- for older folks who actually need to see the radio, this may be a con but for me, I've always used a bluetooth connection and use my phone for music, so it doesn't affect me. With free returns I'd definitely give this a try if you think adhesive mounts or cupholder mounts aren't working out for you. I'm really impressed with this.

The "fit" for car cell phone holders depends largely on the specific models of the car and/or the phone. But for my purposes (2009 Honda Pilot, Samsung Galaxy 25+ phone), this holder is PERFECT! It fits very snugly into the CD slot without needing to use the small plastic "shim" provided for looser fits. Although it does block the view of the sound system volume knob, it sits far enough out from the dashboard to make it easy to reach behind it to adjust the volume. The holder easily fits my Galaxy 25+ phone in its case - the arms of the holder are long enough to fit an even thicker phone/case combo - and opening and closing the arms to release or grip the phone is very easy. The holder does not block any of the buttons on the phone and provides easy access for the charging cord at the bottom. The phone fits securely and doesn't wobble, even on rough roads. I really appreciate the design and build quality of this holder and expect to be happy with it for a long time.

Been looking for one of these since 2023 when my dog broke my boyfriends in a move. Just now was able to replace it. Works well and the hands free really does come in handy. Sturdiness is good it can hold my galaxy s25 ultra just fine and that phone is really heavy. Fits almost every phone size. Easy installation if you have a older car with a CD slot, good value on money. Magnet strength is good.

I've bought these for all of our cars because it really is a great phone holder. But last year I purchased one for our Subaru, and it never really quite fit into the CD slot. It had a curved arm insert and wouldn't go far enough into the CD slot, so it bounced around a lot and eventually broke. I thought I'd give it a try again since they had a new Signature version, and this new version is so much better! The arm that inserts into the CD slot is shorter so it goes all the way in, and it has a lock to keep it in place (instead of the previous curve). It cost a few dollars more, but it's totally worth it!! Thanks for making this improvement.

I bought this mount in July 2022, and it finally broke in July 2026, so I got about four years of use out of it. For the price, I think that's pretty reasonable. I really liked that it mounted in the CD slot since I didn't want anything stuck to my windshield or dashboard. It was also very adjustable. I could tilt it and angle it toward or away from me, which made it easy to get the viewing angle I wanted. The biggest downside is that it blocks part of my infotainment screen. That wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I did have to move it often because it covered my backup camera display. Occasionally it would become a little unstable or even fall out, but most of the time that was because I hadn't pushed it all the way into the CD slot after moving it. I also had a couple of minor annoyances. If I had a MagSafe ring attached to my phone case, the phone wouldn't fit securely in the holder, so I'd have to remove the ring first. I also couldn't let my phone rest all the way on the bottom support because it would press my phone's power button. I had to position the phone so it was essentially floating just above the base, which wasn't ideal but became second nature after a while. None of those issues were major enough to make me stop using it. It wasn't perfect, but it was reliable overall, lasted four years, and I'd say I definitely got my money's worth.

Been using this for a couple of months now. It was easy to install and is sturdier than the vent holders I've used before. It's also far easier to get the phone in and out - no more wrestling. It does obscure some of the radio buttons but that's not the fault of the product.

This is excellent and well made. Unfortunately i have since changed my car and no longer have a cd player to fit it in otherwise I would have carried on using it.
