Quality batteries at a very good price
These batteries are very hard to find in stores. They are inexpensive and don't provide the store much profit. Most places try to sell you the MUCH more expensive silver oxide equivalent to these alkaline cells. In most applications [especially children's toys and calculators] these alkaline cells are specified by the manufacturer, and work perfectly well. Buying them in quantity saves even more, and this Amazon vendor provides a respected brand named product, that is shipped quickly. Win-win. I've been highly satisfied with all button cell types purchased from them [LR44 and LR41].

Quick Delivery, Great Price
Everything came quickly and wrapped well.Since my first set of batteries that came with the flashlight still work, I haven't used the Maxell's yet.Does anyone know what happened to Radio Shack? They wanted $6 for a single battery. Must have been gold tipped. It seems they have put ordinary stuff in fancy packaging and are charging Tiffany prices. Sort of like getting an extra charger at the cell phone companies for $30 or more versus the Internet for under $10. But I guess Radio Shack mostly sells phones so they decided to raise all their prices five to ten times. My apologies for negatively commenting about Radio Shack, a store I have loved for more than forty years. In these days of Internet shopping, local tax avoidance, and unfairly low shipping rates, it must be very hard to maintain a local store selling inexpensive items.

First Impressions
First impressions are as follows. The batteries were purchased to power calculators and a Nano Puppy brand keychain pet. I've had the most experience with the pet operating these batteries, so that's what I will base the review on.The batteries arrived in a timely manner, and are date stamped at no more than a year old. This is reasonable. They are "holographic package" type batteries, intended to verify that they are authentic Maxell cells.Upon activation, the toy sprung to life with strong voltage and plenty of available power. Sound and visuals were both clear and present, with a minor "dark" tint to the LCD screen. After having run the pet toy for several days now though, I've noticed unusual behavior. The cells I installed are demonstrating a problem of high internal impedance. At times of heavy audio (such as during the pet's ball chase minigame scene) the batteries will begin rapidly losing power, at one point nearly shutting the toy down completely and forcing me to abort the minigame to not lose my game progress. They rapidly recover to the former voltage output when the heavy audio scene ends. They did not do this upon initial installation, but I haven't had a chance to measure the power performance of the cells outside of the toy yet, as I still do not wish to lose my progress. I may come back and either update or post a new review after I've exhausted this set. So far they appear satisfactory for lower drain devices, such as calculators, but my pet's audio feature appears to be more power intensive than I thought, or I may have a weak cell loaded in here.

Tough to beat the value
I have an illuminated viewfinder which uses these. Works great, gets a lot of use. Except I occasionally forget to turn it off when I'm finished using it. So about twice a month or so, I go to use it, only to discover the batteries are exhausted. It takes 2 LR44 batteries at a time. You go looking for these in a typical bricks'n'mortar store and they're asking maybe $3 for a pair. You do the math. This source wins hands-down for the rate i go through them.Never had any issues with duds - all have been brand new and with full charge straight from the blister pakcs.

Tested worst in my tests; 6 out of 10 registered as "replace" on my tester
I bought some cheap batteries that did not perform. I wanted to figure out what was going on so I ended up buying four different sets of HEXBUG (AG13/LR44) batteries and testing them.1. 100 HEXBUG-Compatible Batteries (ASIN: B004OSRHV4), link: 100 HEXBUG-Compatible Batteries (out of 10)Good: 1Weak: 9Replace: 02. (This product) 50 Pack Maxell with hologram packaging (ASIN: B0057OAFEK), link: 50 Pack Maxell LR44 AG13 357 button cell battery "NEW HOLOGRAM PACKAGE " (out of 10)Good: 0Weak: 4Replace: 63. HEXBUG Battery (12-Pack) (ASIN: B00KB18S8E), link: HEXBUG Battery (12-Pack) (out of 12)Good: 12Weak: 0Replace: 04. Maxell 40 HEXBUG-Compatible Batteries (ASIN: B00AKMBC1O), link: 40 HEXBUG-Compatible Batteries (out of 10)Good: 0Weak: 9Replace: 1*** CONCLUSION **** These batteries tested worst of all that I tested.* Cheap batteries are often not a good deal.* The only good batteries were the genuine HEXBUG batteries. They were also the most expensive.* I was surprised that the maxell in the hologram packaging was the worst. I am not sure why this is but I suspect: cheap knock-off/fake/counterfeit batteries and/or batteries too old.

Piles bouton
