Got this on sale. I really like this little watch. It has the basics like an alarm, stop watch. You can also set multiple time settings to quickly find out the times across the world, including UTC. If you work in tech, you might find yourself needing to reference UTC regularly so this is valuable to have at a push of a.button to cycle through the times. I like that changing the times also changes the time zone display of the little world map. The additional traditional looking watch face is a nice touch, although I don't reference it very often The watch shows date, time, DST. The watch has a light feature. The whole thing is plastic, so it's a good watch to have to beat on a bit. The band and clasp are okay. It might be worth upgrading those if you feel inclined. The watch face protector is just plastic so mine does have a scratch already. For the price, I'm not all that concerned. The watch is not too big, and I don't have thick wrists. It is not too high either. It was easy to set up the times following the included instructions, which come in multiple languages.

For just north of 20 bucks, the Casio AE-1200 model is probably, objectively, the most value casio quartz watch you can get dollar for dollar. I bought 2 of these, one in the silver resin case for at home, and one in all black for work. Amazon states that the dial is mineral crystal, however I have yet to determine if that is the case, considering there are other sources that state it is made from acrylic or something or another. However for the money, worst case scenario, if you scratch the thing up, it only costs 25 bucks to replace. A lot of other low cost casio digital watches lack the countdown timer function, while. Not so much a deal breaker, definitely comes in handy for work for more time sensitive duties. All the features on the watch are well implemented, and very intuitive. The backlight is also pretty much perfect, allowing you to see the entire screen at night as opposed to the one on the F-91-W. The resin strap is very comfortable, and very pliable and soft in comparison to the straps on most G-shocks. Which is definitely a plus for me. As of yet I have had no skin irritation or anything like that. However your mileage may vary. Overall I can't find a whole lot to complain about with this watch. It does everything you need , and not much more. For the money, the user interface, display, and build quality are very admirable. The silver colored resin case version in particular very pleasing to look at. I would rate this one an easy 9/10. Mostly for the lack of details on what the dial consists of

I'm a longtime but cheap, er, inexpensive watch collector, and somehow don't remember ever owning a Casio 😯 I (re?)discovered Casio while watching vintage collector videos on YouTube. It was rather stunning how high end collectors talked with reverence about certain Casios - most notably G-Shocks and this Royale. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, I tried this Royale, and even spent an extra two bucks on the silver bodied one - Big Spender! Let's just say I have been blown away by the Royale, here are a few observations: - incredibly good looking watch! Yeah, I know it's painted plastic, but no one knows from more than a few feet away... And the shape, combined with the silver and black looks positively terrific. Also literally the perfect size for me (7 inch wrist). - insanely light for the size. I swear I have forgotten I have this on my wrist, so much so that I must be more careful, I already scratched the crystal working on my bikes! - Surprisingly large time face. I was not expecting how large, high contrast and legible the actual time is, super bright from almost any angle, which is, of course, THE most important aspect of wearing a wrist watch! - surprisingly comfortable wrist band, like a black fluffy rubber cloud. - looks like a BOSS Secret Agent watch! I feel like a SHIELD agent wearing this, Coulsen should definitely get one. It of you are older, Dick Tracy. btw think about it - Casino Royale… Casio Royale… get it? - 10 Year battery. 100m/ 330 ft water resistant (in case my submarine goes down). World time (two different times displayed at the same time, even!). Are you kidding me?!? - insanely low price. I kind of feel like I stole it, even though I know I didn't. Nits: Orange light. Works but feels dorky. Lots of words on the face. That's about it. Highest recommendation - BUY IT!!! Plus: it’s customizable! Like golf, the entry cost is low, but the sky’s the limit. This watch is so popular, there are literally hundreds of customizations available. I tried one and I love it - for $5 on eBay I picked up a different faceplate, which totally opens the whole face for even greater visibility, and loses all the extraneous words, check it out… p.s. if you really travel, get this one, not the metal bracelet version - this one is all plastic and won’t set off the TSA metal detector!!!!

CONS: - I wish this had sleep tracking. - I wish the local time had it's own display - seperate from the other features (like the Amazfit Neo does it). The little circular thing which is harder to read. That's because it's easy to get confused between the local time and the other modes as everything looks the same at a quick glance. - I wish the light would stay on while you press buttons - instead it instantly turns off, even if your 3 seconds hasn't passed yet. - All plastic. Hasn't scratched yet though. - The top half of the watch isn't very useful. - Daylight Savings Time is 100% manual - even though this thing has the date including the year, so it should be able to know and enable DST automatically. This makes the world time not all that useful unless you google each city an set reminders for when to enable/disable DST twice a year. - As with pretty much all cheap watches, the strap isn't very comfy which is why I switched it. PROS: - Looks great. One of the nicest in my opinion! - Super affordable. - 24h stopwatch and 24h alarm timer. The stopwatch continues to the next day too! - Lightweight. 35g with my Toolbee Wrist Boa straps which are amazing. They are 20mm but are soft enough to squeeze in which looks so much better than putting 18mm straps on it. 18mm straps just look tiny on this fairly chunky watch. Overall I do really like this and it's worth every penny if you like the look. It's been in daily use since I got it. I will be upgrading to a Garmin Instinct for my uses, but that's much more expensive and doesn't even look as good as this.

It’s so cheap and so well made. This is my beater watch. I where it anytime I’m doing anything that I know would scratch, break or ruin any other watch I have.

It's a Casio. Swimming? It'll work. Construction? It'll work. Skydiving? No problem. The band it comes with fits easily and comfortably, and is easy to swap out if desired.

It's a shame these used to be cheaper (not by much but still). However, this watch offers phenomenal value for price. It's almost like the G-Shock's less bulky/jacked little brother. It can easily track 4 time zones, has a fantastic back-light, date, timer, and stop watch all in one. Plus it's waterproof enough to swim with, and generally is very durable. I use it whenever I travel due to it's range of use and ability to swap to 24hr time, which much of the world uses, and see my home time at the push of a button. The only con I can really think of is the plastic crystal. I mean, what do you expect for the price really? If you want to spend more than the watch you can always get yourself an aftermarket Sapphire Crystal that costs more than the watch itself. Also there are plenty f fun mods you can do to personalize this watch. Just take a look at YouTube and see what people have done/can do with this cheap little bastion.
