Is this supposed to be viscous? I had the 271 and it was liquid and would flow nicely on the threads. This doesn't...

The 272 that I have is not thin and runny. It adhered to the threads very well.

hi henkel delibgerately uses a big bottle , so that half of it can be filled with nitrogen , this helps in keeping the compound in a liqid state , if there is no air present in the bottle , the compound will dry and solidify the same explanation can be found on the net however the liquid is as described 50ml/250 ml

will this be good for my ar15's muzzle brake?

You betcha! Just remember if you ever want to take your brake off, use a heat gun to warm the loctite for easy removal.
