You say it is bpa free. then why do you have a california proposition 65 warning for cancerous materials for this product?

The current packaging (received 12/9/19) has no Proposition 65 warning, and the Amazon listing doesn't mention it outside of a few reviews and customer questions like this one. Nothing on the manufacturer website either. I would assume they've removed whatever substance it was.

All of our products, including the Munchkin 6 Piece Fork and Spoon Set, are independently tested and meet or exceed the safety standards for our industry as established by both the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International. We are constantly in touch with these national safety organizations to ensure we are up-to-date with clear scientific findings and any changes in regulations. In addition, follow-up tests are conducted on all of our products at periodic intervals after they launch to ensure each product's continued safety.

Do these melt or bend in the dishwasher?

No. I put them in the bottom rack of our dishwasher with our silverware on heavy load, high heat, and dry at least 2x per week and they're fine. I usually handwash our baby utensils, but the dishwasher is more convenient sometimes. Packaging and included info from Munchkin recommends top rack only. Hope that helps!

Perfect for my son

Great for a toddler!

We love these spoons and forks! Our son is learning to eat on his own and other brands had spoons and forks that were longer and a smaller spoon area, which was hard for him to use at times. The wide spoon is easy for him to manage, and the short length works so much better for him as he learns to feed himself! The colors are bright and fun, and each piece is extremely easy to clean. So far, we love them!
