WIll be your number one grill !!!
Great Transaction! Order received promptly!!! Works great. I have both cast iron grills the lodge l410 and now the cajun cookware grill. You will not go wrong with either one. Excellent searing. Easily reaches 600-1000 degrees, dependent upon the type of charcoal/wood. My preference for grilling is using a mixture of hardwood charcoal with chunks of various woods depending on what we are grilling, ie: fish, lobster, shrimp, chicken, duck, pork or beef fajitas,.baby back ribs,PIZZA or steak. In my experience wood always burns hotter than charcoal, helps to get that beautiful sear and also imparts better flavor. I have played with several flavors of wood, hickory, mesquite, peach, apple, cherry, oak and orange. Each one has a way of enhancing the special meal.Below is a secret that will enhance your grilling..........I also have utilized the old smokey charcoal grill # 22 to set both grills in. with the bottoms being supported by inexpensive ceramic 4x4 tiles. This gives me the added benefit of slowing down the grilling process by being able to cover both grills and control the heating process. I have also been able to roast a golden brown duck and chicken by adding a rib rack and using the old smokey set up I have SET IT AND FORGET IT!!! LOL.Also I have been able to smoke/grill 3 large racks or ribs. SET T AND FORGET IT. The height of the old smoker is a true WINNER!!!Now to my favorite. The winner is the Cajun grill. WHY?Larger surface area, excellent for that homemade pizza,8 hamburger patties 8 lobster tails, etc.Fyi, it can also be used as a cooker for a cast iron skillet for fish, vegetables etcAlso while using a small amount of charcoal it is our go to for quick grilling versus the weberor the homemade brisket smoker. For those that mot only love to grill but love those beautiful seared grill marks. We have used weber searinggrate for a little more expression especially with a good steak.Experiment !!! Enjoy grilling !!!

Cajun Grill
I ended up buying both the Lodge and Cajun grills so here is my comparison of the two. The most noticeable difference is in the quality of the casting. The Cajun is made in China and is shows. The grill grate has small bubbles and imperfections that don't exist on the Lodge. Overall the cast iron is simply inferior on the Cajun. The access door to the ashes is very poorly designed and falls out easily. I am sure it will break one of these times when it hits the patio concrete just right. I bought the Cajun because it had a larger grill surface. If the larger grill surface is important to you then go with the Cajun. Both do what you expect a cast iron hibachi to do....there is nothing that compares in my opinion. Bottom line, the Lodge is a noticeably higher quality and better designed product but they both do the same thing. Both manufacturers placed large medallion logos in the middle of the grill surface....not a good idea....messes with the all important grill marks.

Economical Fun Grilling!
I chose this grill because there are only two to cook for. I have realized that this grill requires less charcoal and is faster than a conventional grill. It will cook steaks, porkchops, and hamburger perfect! I also own a lodge hibachi grill but prefer this one because of the larger grilling area and because you are more able to move the meat away from the coals because of the larger grilling area. It should last me my lifetime due to the rugged construction as long as I protect the grill from the elements. I believe that this grill is a superb choice for someone who wants a true habachi!

Grill broke with light use
Bought to replace my Lodge, after years of use. Used probably 6 times and grill has large crack on top. Did not have as much space between wood and grill. Going back to Lodge

Sizzlin little grill
Arrived promptly in good condition. Grills nice and fast, great flavor. Grate lift handle could be better, should be longer for more leverage on heavy grates. No problems with front door, stays secure when placed properly. A little pricey for a made in china product but decent quality and design. Preseasoned well. Like all cast iron products, requires a bit of extra maintenance (regular cleaning and oiling), but worth the effort. Big enough for family of four at home, perfect for tailgating and camping. Chose this over the lodge since this is a little bigger.

My new favorite BBQ grill...
When my husband and I decided we prefered the taste of charcoal grilled food over gas grilled, I went on-line looking for something sturdy that would last a long time. Well, I found it ! This grill is all cast iron, except for the handle, and boy, is it heavy! We took it out of the box, sprayed it with vegetable spray (inside and out...this was probably unnecessary), threw in some charcoal, and fired her up! Sure, it took a a few minutes for the coals to be ready, but what a feast we had. There are only two of us, but you have plenty of room to feed at least 4 serious meat eaters on this grill. We just got so tired of dealing with propane tanks, and self starters (that don't start), cleaning and polishing the grill in and out, replacing torn grill covers, and dealing with wasps that always wanted to live in it! Every year, we had to replace one or two things on our gas grill, and that is if we didn't have to replace the whole grill! When we ran out of charcoal a couple of weeks ago, we burned wood in this cast iron wonder, and cooked over that! I'm telling you, this is the answer for us, and it will most likely still be around after we are long gone... This grill has certainly simplified our outdoor cooking routine. I highly recommend it...
