It worked for me! Although you do have to completely disassemble old unit to replace............not too bad actually!

Q: What do I need to convert this for a shop vac?

I don’t think it can be adapted or converted to work on a shop vac.

Thank goodness this is available since the Bissel unit has a huge design flaw in the way this hose is configured. My husband watched a YouTube video to replace it and said it was pretty straightforward. I may buy another to have a backup just in case this part is discontinued like the original unit has been.
