Ovlaim 52 Inch Wood Ceiling Fans with Lights Remote Control, 6 Speed Quiet DC Motor 3 Blade Smart Ceiling Fan, Indoor Living Room Bedroom Ceiling Fan

The wood blade color will pretty much go with anything, unless you are looking for a dark wood. I’m extremely pleased with the quality and look of the blades. The light is low profile so it doesn’t distract from the blades. The light cover is a milky color plastic- doesn’t bother me at all, especially because you have options for color of the light! I put this 52” fan in a 12x13 TV room and putting the fan setting on #1 provided plenty of air movement! I replaced a 5 blade older massive Hunter fan with this one- it’s amazing how only 3 blades and low profile light made the room feel more spacious. I’m so impressed with the quality for the price!

We initially ordered two of the Ovlaim 52 Inch Wood Ceiling Fan with Lights to replace existing "Tropical Blade" ceiling fans in our Hawaii home. The fans are exceptional in the amount of air they move, the multiple speed settings, the blade movement is extremely quiet and the blades do not accumulate dust/dirt buildup as the "wide rattan blades" of our old fans. The light also allows changing from "warm yellow light" to a "blue white light" or combination of the two and allows dimming down low or lighting up high enough to read by. We were so happy with them that we ended up ordering a total of five Ovlaim Fans and replaced all existing fans in our house.Now I must tell you about the unbelievable customer service and help "After the Sale". Last month our Chocolate Labrador Puppy enjoyed chewing up the remote control to our bedroom fan to the point it no longer worked. We used a "smart home app" to operate it temporarily, but it was not easy to change fan speeds in the middle of the night. I emailed the factory to explain and request help in purchasing a replacement remote control unit.Nicole @ Ovlaim was fantastic !! She emailed back asking us to confirm what the existing remote control looked like to assure we received the correct replacement. I sent Nicole a photo of our chewed up remote and the Nicole replied back that she would have the factory send me out a replacement unit. Nicole emailed me instructions on how to "pair" the new control switch to the current remote unit inside the fan. Then Nicole emailed me when the unit had been sent out along with a fedex tracking number. We were never billed for the replacement item. We received the complete replacement remote control unit and the remote control switch that were already factory paired so it took less than 5 minutes to change out the remote unit inside the fan housing and the remote control switch worked immediately !! I have never received such "after the sale" assistance in my life ... Truly unbelievable and exceptional service and product.

We purchased the 60" indoor/outdoor model to install at our daughters place out on her fully covered patio. Nothing was missing from the box and the fan went up fine after we managed to get power to the installation. The biggest issue is that the manual does not really provide proper instruction as to how the unit is supposed to be assembled and connected to power. There were parts included that did not appear to have any proper mounting point and that the manual did not explain. It's a shame. Of course we did figure the wiring part out and I happen to really like the design. I just wish they explained it better.I will dwell for a minute on what I consider to be a great feature of the Ovlaim: It does not require the use of a single wire-nut to install it. For this device, the house power goes to an insulated terminal block attached to the main fan bracket. The terminal block has 3 recesses marked "L, N. +"In this case the L stands for Line or Hot (typically the black wire), N is for the neutral, (typically white) and the "+" in this instance means the bare or grounding line. So what you do is strip the hot and neutral wires back about 3/8" and insert them into the terminal block recesses. Push the bare ground wire end into the + recess and tighten them in place by screwing in some little setscrews in the terminal block. That's it. All of the wires from your house attach to the bracket alone. From there the bracket connects to everything else via simple plug jacks. It makes for a remarkably clean install and makes things much easier when you are trying to get all of the wires and transmitter tucked inside the fan canopy.One of the reasons I ordered this fan is that it is a WiFi compatible smart device that my daughter wants to be able to control with Alexa. Unfortunately the cable internet provider she uses went hard down yesterday so we could not hook the fan up to Wifi and test the internet stuff. If there is any problem getting that done once her internet has been restored I will edit this review. But in the meantime the provided remote works flawlessly. You can set speed, forward or reverse, lamp brightness, and lamp color temperature using just the remote. The lamp is adjustable from a very intense cool white all the way down to a nice warm incandescent feel. The fan is quiet, you do not hear the motor at all, just the blades pushing through the air as they spin. All in all a nice fan, just be ready to figure out all the unexplained steps from the wholly inadequate manual.

I have now purchased two of these fans and planning to add a third shortly. They are replacing the fans that came with the house and this is a nice upgrade both in function and design. The installation was relatively easy and only took me about 30 minutes from opening the box to sitting on the couch with the fan cooling me off.The remote has exactly all the buttons you would need. This isn't one of those three button remotes. There are several buttons that adjust the speed, control the light, change the direction of fan and there is a feature for 2 or 8 hour shut off.This fan moves more air than the previous fans we had. Its also quieter. The first one we bought was over a year ago and its working exactly the same as it did when I installed it. No wobble or weird sounds like the previous fan.The light has a few settings on it as well. White light or soft light and a few brightness settings. I have only used the light a few times but it fills the room.This fan is excellent for the money . I've seen fans that are double the price and don't look or function as good as this one does. That's why we bought the second and will buy a third one shortly.
