This could be my new Holy Grail body SPF!
I’m a licensed esthetician and I often preach the gospel of SPF but truth be told, I am very bad at taking my own advice because SPF feels pretty nasty. I can’t be a hypocrite, so I’ve set out to find an SPF that I actually really do like so I’ll feel compelled to wear it. I have to say, I think this is it!My skin is pretty dry naturally, so I wanted to find something that would make my skin feel good after spending time in the sun, as well as not feeling gloppy, oily or sticky.Texture: it feels like a cream more than a butter, but that’s not a deal breaker for me. It goes on smooth and doesn’t take awhile to absorb like some sunscreens can. It’s a little sticky upon first application but not in an uncomfortable way.Scent: on initial application, the scent leaves little to be desired - as others have mentioned it kinda smells like glue. But when I’m sitting in the sun and there’s a breeze, I get a slight waft of berries and vanilla? I’m thinking that it smells better in the dry down than it does when you put it on, and I do love that dry down scent. It smells like a perfume I would wear! If you’re scent-sitive, this might not be ideal for you.Effectiveness: I’m actually sitting in the sun as I write this. It’s early in the warm season where I live in the PNW, and usually around this time I get some photo sensitivity due to the lack of sun exposure up here for the majority of the year. Not with Supergoop! I’m not itchy and my skin feels hydrated.Overall, this is one product I think I’ll be recommending to my clients, as well as continued use by myself. The value for the money is pretty good. Only reason it gets 4 stars is because of the weird scent upon the first application but I’m honestly not picky enough for that to be a deal breaker.

Strange smell and color
It seemed that this product might have been spoiled. The SPF worked fine but the smell and color was strange.

Feels nice
I like Supergoop products and have several different ones. This Body Butter is great for being out in the sun, but not if swimming. It feels more like moisturizer so doesn’t have that sunscreeny feel. I used it at the beach, and Supergoop Play will stay on better in the water. This melanoma survivor got her first sunburn in over a decade with the Body Butter.

OK Lightweight SPF
Was looking for something that would feel more or less like lotion but have some spf. Online reviews highly recommended this. I thought it was just ok. I do like supergoop products in general, and the spf works well. The scent is mild. But it does still feel a bit like I'm putting sunscreen on vs. lotion. Keeping it but probably won't re-order when it runs out.

Weird consistency but otherwise nice
I felt like this was a really weird consistency, kind of clumpy... however, it rubbed in just fine. I have dry skin and this moisturized it perfectly in the summer. I did not use it in the winter. It did not smell like sunscreen. I have been on the hunt for an everyday SPF that didn't smell like one and this was true for this. I just didn't like how it felt when it went on but I did like the end result.
