Such a simple device with such a huge impact!
If you are like me and you collect vinyl, you must really hate dust. Doesn't it seem that you freshly dust the living room only to turn around an hour later and it's all dusty again? I just can't stand that. The same goes for my vinyl records. I have several high-end turntables in my collection and if I play a record without first cleaning it through the ultrasonic cleaner there may be a little bit of dust accumulation on the record. Also sometimes there could be a small amount of static. This device simply rests on the plinth of your turntable and mine is at the back rear left, and it's so incredibly featherlite it affects nothing as far as turntable speed or anything else. The brush delicately whisks away any dust while the record is playing as well as seems to remove any static so popping another noises are greatly reduced, and it also tends to keep the turntable stylus much cleaner and not accumulate as much on the stylus as normal. for such a low cost device and such a simple design I'm very impressed with the performance of this device and I can thoroughly recommend it for anyone who is serious about their vinyl and hates dust at all costs. Two thumbs up! By the way, if you want to see these devices in action there are plenty of videos on YouTube which is where I first saw them, and they deliver what they promise. I hope this helps!

An Essential Addition to Any Turntable!!
I have to hand it to Hudson HiFi, They have another fantastic product here! I remember when I was younger (Yes that means I'm Older!) We had a turntable in the house, and mounted on the tonearm near the cartridge head was a tiny brush that ran ahead of the Stylus, to keep the Albums stylus from picking up excess dust and debris. Times have changed and as I have not seen many cartridges with this option, Shure used to have one, but again not many I was thrilled when I came across this product browsing Hudson HiFi gear, and Immediately ordered one! Well I am sure glad I did, not only does it help keep the record clean from dust and what not thats lands on the album while playing. But it does a fantastic Job of keeping down the static that builds up when playing an album. You know all those annying little clicks n pops you bet on occasion, well they are very much a thing of the past for me, That is since I started using This product. It has an awesome look to it, with a bronze/ old nickel steampunk type style to it, and is a wonderful and truly functional addition to my turntable. Setup is very easy, and with the included grounding line, I would say most will have no more static issues with LP's, and will be cleaning them a bit as your playing your precious LP's. Cant say enough good things about this Hudson HiFi record cleaner other than order one now, and become a believer as I have. Oh and be prepared to explain to everyone of your Vinyl friends where and how you got it..lol Cheers, Bubba

A neat little device
I was skeptical about buying one of these since it's just a small brush grounded to your amp or turntable, but I'm impressed at the results. I clean my vinyl collection with my Record Doctor before playing and putting it to my shelf to keep everything nice and dust free as possible until I want to listen to the album again. No matter what your vinyl cleaning preferences are, dust will always be an issue. After a few hours of spinning some music, I decided to flick the brush to see if it did anything anything to help out. The result was pretty impressive seeing all the dust and debris fly off the bristles. It's not as good as a deep clean, but it doesn't hurt anything by adding it to your turntable. Some may have issues closing their tables' dust cover, so make sure you have the headroom. My one complaint I have is that there's no tonearm rest for it to sit on when it's not being used. The arm will drop and make the brush bristles fan out causing them to become misshapened over time resulting in the brush becoming useless. It may be a YMMV accessory to some, but I'm glad I bought it.

Important information so it won't slide across. Edit. Straight garbage
I thought I made a mistake by buying this. I was looking for something to remove the static off the vynil since every time I lift the vynil off the record player I can hear loud pops of static and I can definitely feel it in my fingers. Well this completely solved the issue. No more pops and crackles once your done playing one side of the vynil and your removing it. Honestly I didn't think it was going to work but when I open it it was a pretty hefty piece of metal and it looks elegant as well. Matches my wood record player nicely. Setup! It kept sliding to the center slowly but surely before the needle finished the vynil. Maybe like 2 minutes before it finish. I looked at the tiny screw holding the extended pole with the hairs in place and I thought I could move it but I couldn't because the pole had an indent that it's suppose to stay that side as you screw the tiny screw on. Then I grabbed the end by the hairs and twist it slightly too were the top of the 90 degree elbow is facing the outside of the vynil. The elbow was facing inward towards the center of the vynil thats why it moved too quick. Check out my photo for reference. You can see it's slightly to the outside of the vynil and now it tracks perfect. Quick update. Unless your vynil is completely straight not warped and a perfect hole in the middle it won't work. I have a warp vynil every time this passes trough the hump it moves more towards center. Disappointing but it still helps remove the static even if it's in the middle I notice. I didn't buy it for the cleaning since I keep my vynils mint Edit. Maybe.2021 Going straight to the garbage. This was a new record completely perfect. I always clean my records before and after. Dust them off and check it with a light. The dang thing lost a big hair ball size chunk of white hair and some how got imbeded into the vynil. I notice too late as it was going around it started skipping. I'm wet cleaning it now but still no luck so it looks like I might have to get another vynil. Don't bother with this. As you can see in the pic I can still see the ridges of the hair. After using the included brush to clean it a bunch of hairs came out of it.

It helps getting rid of the static!
It works better than I thought it would. Love it. The only problem I had, was finding a place to mount it. Were It wouldn't rub my turntable cover when it was closed.

It definitely WORKS!!
Had my reservations prior to ordering but I can honestly say it works in everything it claims to do! I live in the Mountains in Colorado at a high altitude and dust is the #1 enemy with my system...have tried everything but can now say after MANY products that this and the Acrylic mat paired with a leather deer hide leather has almost eliminated most dust in my house! Would love to see Hudson come out with an alternative higher priced product ($50-75) available to some with maybe in upgrade in parts...Heavier Base so you would not need to use adhesive tape, a longer higher quality ground cable, ability to remove and replace the brush after heavy use and lastly a stand or rest that you could rest the arm while not in use rather than just laying on the Plynth or Album. Still offer the original product but give another option because this product.... WORKS! Not many complaints because of the price...the only minor one would be the directions....I did not have too much of a problem but feedback on weight with the counterweight and recommendations on proper placement on the sliding weight would help....nothing is available anywhere so you just have to tinker thru trial and error? The video is OK...but asking someone in the VC to do the companies heavy lifting on questions on trouble shooting is pretty unfair...after looking at the questions in the comments he was not able to answer many because he is not with the product development with Hudson Hi-Fi! Anyways...great job with this product...it does work and at such an inexpensive price I would HIGHLY recommend!! Nice job...

Works Great
Just received today and had it on my turntable in a matter of minutes. Extremely easy set up and the product is well built. I did purchase the other brush arm that had two for the same price. I was very disappointed in that was of poor quality and didn’t work well at all, returned it and just bought this one. There is a major difference between this one and the other. I only played two records so far and the tracking was perfect and coincided with the tone arm. It definitely cleans Your records, helps with the pops and keeps your needle clean. Very happy with this and highly recommend it! UPDATE Its been a few days and I have played about 10 albums and it continues to work extremely well. The tracking of the arm is perfect and without a doubt the record and the stylus stay clean. This is a very good item and does the job! Only have good things to say about it.

Its OK
I'm just gonna give this 3 stars cause im just not too sure about it yet. There is not alot of detailed instructions on weight balance on these things and you have to just play around with it. I think I've got it about right. As far as cleaning while the record is playing it does a pretty good job with that, far as static I think it helps a little but not alot, least for me. I bought this thing cause it was cheap and I figured would give it a try. Its super easy to install as well.

Pretty cool gizmo
This review is for Hudson Hi-Fi Vinyl Record Cleaning Arm. It's pretty cool how this device tracks the grooves and it does it very accurately. I've been listening to vinyl for 45 years and I'm certain that static, pops, crackles etc. are just a part of life when it comes to vinyl records. So I'm simply gonna keep using this because it looks cool, does pick up dust, and only cost me $50.
