Oregon 25896 3/16 inch Chainsaw File Guide with File,Grey

Exactly what I wanted, a quality wooden handle instead of a cheap plastic one. Has a file guide included.

The chain saw blade sharpener arrived quickly and worked perfectly.

Its a manual sharpener so have some patience while sharpening so that the file on tool covers all of the tooth.

This was was cheap, easy to use, and effective. Just make sure you buy the right kit for your saw and chain. While this kit had the right size guide for the file, I had to buy another Oregon kit to get the right depth gauge. Fortunately that kit was also cheap

A chain saw chain sharpener --When the saw cuts poorly the teeth on the saw have to be "ground" at the proper angle to again cut properly. You leave the chain on the saw as is normal, wear gloves, and rotate the chain around bar as if it were running. ( be sure to disconnect the spark plug or place the ON/OFF switch to off-- or remove the battery on battery operated chain saws before you start ) This tool has "markings" on it that allows you to line up the correct direction and angle to sharpen the tooth. Inexpensive, works with minimal effort- one or 2 pushes of the enclosed file, and then on to the next "every other" tooth-- when done- rotate the saw 180 deg. and do the teeth that you passed over on the first filing-- and you are done. Suggestion: I marked the "starting tooth" with a Magic Marker, so then when I rotated the chain around the chain bar-- I could see where I started without having to "count teeth".

perfectly fits and works great, the guide is keeping the angle you need for a sharp blade.

Don't use my chain saw often, but this is my go to for keeping my chainsaw ready for use.
