Just right for an intermediate to advanced student. The text is clear, the vocab is all there, and the notes prompt and assist but usually leave the student with a remaining challenge. Lastly the introduction positions Annals XIV in its historical context, as well giving vital notes on Tacitus's particular style and syntax.
