TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap, Headache Hat Ice Pack Mask, Cooling Head Wrap

I spent a lot of time reviewing numerous of these. Finally settled on the Thera ice pro. I have not been disappointed! Stays cold for roughly 25 minutes. Flexible not hard, very soft with perfect pressure.After 25 minutes, it’s still a little cool and I’ve put it back in the freezer for 15 minutes and it’s good to go if I need it a second go around to get rid of a really bad headache. You can’t go wrong getting this one.It’s also very comfortable to lay down and take a nap. A helpful comment I read is when you first get it out of the freezer let it rest on your neck for a few minutes. That feels great and it allows it to cool down a little bit before putting it on your head. It is a bit intensely cold to start with.The only negative the bag they give you to put it in I think overtime would help mess up the cap, it’s a bit on the small size. I put it in a gallon Ziploc bag which gives it plenty of room before putting it in the freezer. Other comments warned about it will pick up odors if you don’t put it in a bag.I knew it was what I needed from the first use.

I wanted to write a review to spare the next buyer from ruining their migraine hat like I did.The hat has a smooth sleek fabric texture, a comfortable gel filling, and a slight snugness around the head when worn (that I found really enjoyable). It blocked out light well. When stored in the freezer and then placed on the head it was extremely cold. Even at room temperature it always feels a little cool to the touch, which I enjoyed. I slept like a baby with it on.Two important things: 1. If you're going to put it in a fridge or freezer make sure it is in a sealed bag. 2. It cannot be washed (other than spot treatment). The manufacturer does disclose this information, so I did not deduct rating points for this.I made the mistake of putting my hat in the freezer without a bag and even though my freezer is fairly clean every odor in the freezer leeched into the hat. It stinks. I tried to wear it anyways and the weird stale freezer smell then got onto my sheets as I napped on them. It was at this time I realized the hat is advertised as only being wipe-clean. You are not supposed to submerge it. I wiped it and the smell remained, so I then decided to risk hand-washing it in a wash basin. The hat seemed to be in good condition afterwards, but the smell remained. At this point I decided that the smell was too unbearable and distracting so I had nothing to lose by putting it in the washing machine (with cold water). The washing machine made the fabric lose it's tightness and made the gel filling become lumpy. And if that's not enough, I can still somehow smell the faintest note of the freezer. I'm not sure that it'll be usable in its current condition, but I will try.I liked the product in theory. It was very comfortable and it did help with headaches. For my own preferences though I would have preferred a product that was more durable and washable, especially something that's being placed against your skin that might collect oils, makeup remnants, and other dirt over time that you'd want to wash off.

I wish that the cold lasted longer. It is too cold most of the time to put it on as soon as you take it out of the freezer but by the time your head can stand it, it starts getting warm. I do like the shape of it and how it fits comfortably over your head and pulls over your eyes but keeps your nose out. It blocks a good majority of light. I have fallen asleep with it on.

This migraine mask is SO good. The cooling sensation feels amazing when you have a headache, and I love that it covers your eyes and forehead while also applying gentle pressure. It’s basically a tiny cold hug for your face.It’s comfortable, easy to use, and stays cold long enough to actually be helpful without having to constantly get up and re-freeze it. It stays in place with no slippage, I’ve even slept in it!Honestly, 10/10 would recommend for anyone who gets headaches or just occasionally wants to lie down in a dark room and pretend nobody exists.

I LOVE this item. It’s snug enough to put gentle pressure around entire head, but not so tight that is painful. I initially put it in the freezer as cold helps my migraines, but I found it to be too cold. It’s naturally cool so there is minor relief without adjusting the temperature. It completely blocks out the light, the nose notch is a great size, it helps muffle sounds, and it stays on most of the night. This has been a game changer for my migraines, I highly recommend.

I LOVE THERAICE. I get terrible headaches, migraines, and cervicogenic headaches as well. I will apply this to my neck first. Let it become a little less frosty then put it on my head. It’s a little toooooo cold for me to put on my head directly from the freezer. But it’s great. I sometimes will do that and fall asleep. Feels solid. Not too heavy. Perfect size and I have a big head. No leaks or wetness noted by me. I feel like I got what I paid for and I appreciate this has lasted yrs.If cold therapy have helped your headaches, migraines, or neck pains… JUST GET THIS ALREADY or put it on your wishlist!!

Migraine homies should definitely try this

This provides just enough compression on the head, blacks out the environment, and feels perfectly cool, even without putting it in the freezer or fridge. This shortened my migraine recovery time by 75%! Love it!

Do not put it in the freezer, it is too cold and feels uncomfortable. Rather keep it in the refrigerator, as you can immediately wear it when you feel a headache coming on.
