I purchased this book as a gift to my daughter. It went over many topics we discussed but it also provides images to better explain the changes she will experience going through puberty. I even sat down and read the book myself. Definitely recommend for growing girls to help them better understand themselves during this time in life.

My friend and I were putting together “period kits” for our 10-year-olds and we wanted a simple, straightforward book that had visuals, didn’t talk about sex, didn’t reference eating disorders or anything that would give our highly impressionable daughters more to worry about. Really, just the facts please. This book is perfect and referenced things we might forget to mention like how to put in a pad, and then dispose of it when your done. My daughter read this in one sitting and said she loved it. The book also highlights friendship and a positive parental relationship. This is relatable for our daughters as well. This was also perfect for my daughter who loves to read novels and my friend’s daughter who prefers graphic novels. A+.

I choose 5 stars because my daughter loved this book and she had lots of questions about puberty and other stuff but it is amazing

I gave this book to my daughter so she and her daughter could read it together. My daughter said it was very age-appropriate and didn’t put any ideas into her head. It was factual, clinical without sounding clinical, very easy to read, and when they got done they said it was a great experience. She was very grateful she had the book.

The book tells you to wash your vagina. Your vagina is an internal, self cleaning organ that should NEVER be washed. Hopefully the terms were just inaccurately translated, in which case this can be fixed if the publisher is paying attention. I believe what the author meant to be talking about is washing the vulva, which is the external female genitalia. The vagina is an internal canal, it is not visible from the outside. Wash your vulva, not your vagina!
