You will receive one spray can of base coat. This must still be covered with a clear coat. Shake the spray can well before use. The spray can with the base coat has a variable spray head. This is especially helpful with pearl effect and metallic paints, because you can distribute the effect particles better. The base coat is applied in at least 2 thin layers. Allow 5 minutes between the application of the first and second layer. If it is necessary to apply additional layers, allow each base coat to dry for 5 minutes. Before you start spraying, always spray the first jet of paint onto cardboard or the masking film. The pipe can still contain unmixed colours, which cause ugly stains when painting. After you have achieved a uniform colour finish, seal the whole job with clear coat. The clear coat must be applied, as the base coat is not scratch-resistant. Please also note that paintwork may fade over the years, i.e. the refinish appears darker than the paint on your vehicle. Therefore, always make sure to create soft transitions when spraying the paint.
