Presses cheese from 2 gallons of milk fairly effectively.
Works well, not too expensive. When you press the cheese, you have to be careful to make sure that the disk continues to push down flat on the cheese and does not go lop-sided at a diagonal and go out of place, but you can easily see through the holes and loosen the press and re-press if you see this happening. You will need a cheese cloth to go with the press, which is not sold with the press. You can remove a lot of moisture from the cheese with this press.I used this for pressing soft cheese made from 2 gallons of regular temperature pasteurized whole milk curdled with lemon juice. In order to press this much cheese, I filled it up completely once, but it wouldn't hold all the curds in the first press, then pressed out the liquid, then unscrewed the press, and put in the rest of the cheese. In this way, it could press the amount of curds that comes from two gallons. The total volume inside the container is about 7 cups, bur remember you have to press the cheese down so your total at the end will be less than 7 cups. I'd say I pressed 2 gallons worth of cheese down to about 4-5 cups of cheese in the end.

Easy to use. Easy to clean
This is a great little press. Easy to use and clean. Will handle only small cheeses, but not a problem for the home producer. Only down side is it doesn't press over 20 pounds.

Check for faults before leaving for 12 hour press!
I really wanted to love this! I actually took pictures (the first two) prior to leaving my press for the 12 hour press so I could write a review toting how easy this was to use! ... I just started making harder cheeses and I was excited for a beginner’s cheaper model cheese press to get me started. I did the 10 pound initial press followed by flipping and a quick 20 pound follow up press with no issues. I flipped the cheese again and set the press for the highest possible setting... 44 pounds (20 kilos on the press indicator as you can see in the first two pictures). I went to bed and left the press to finish off with the 12 hour final press. When I got up in the morning, the press seemed to have tightened itself well past the last indicator line (see last two pictures). I’m guessing there is a fault with the press I received because I also had to hold the gauge in place while tightening it because it would just spin with the crank. However, this is the second press I’ve had an issue with. The first one I received looked like the basket was cracked before I even used it. I wish I had used this right after I bought it so I could return this and get one that works without breaking!

Perfect for beginners.
This was extremely easy to use and was perfect for the 2 gallon farmhouse cheddar I made last week. I am really looking forward to making more cheese with this press.

Cheap
Cheaply made plastic. Unsuitable for a press. This split the side of the tub on the first use and had to be returned. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more and get a stainless steel press.....

Useful press. But !
I found that the cheese press works very well at what it's intended for. But I think the build quality could have been better. On the 2nd time of using, I found that the gauge that raises as you screw down the press screw, was turning with the screw, instead of staying still. So preventing it from being pressed down any further. I had to grip it with a pair of pliers, so that I could turn the screw down further.Disappointing.
