Millar GH7051PB Black Tempered Glass Hob Cooktop with 5 Gas Burners (70 cm)

I was looking to replace our 4 ring gas hob and found Millars 5 ring gas hob, it's a direct replacement for the old 4 ring hob and no additional cutting of the worktop was needed, as gas hobs go, I'm impressed by it's quality, the ease of fitting and the overall finish of it, thick glass which is easy to clean, so impressed, I purchased a 2nd one for another family member in the black Friday deals. Works with Calor gas too, though if you do connect to a gas bottle which I have done, you must replace the burner nozzles which are supplied and will need to purchase an adaptor which converts it's gas pipe to a rubber bbq style pipe which is not included.

This is a lovely hob, excellent value for money makes a nice look to the kitchen.

Looks smart and solid. Installed in the countertop myself but the gas connection needs to be done by a gas safe engineer and has to be done with rigid copper pipes, not bendy pipes. The brackets that come with it to fix it aren't long enough and awkward to use as well as not very flexible in terms of design and what scenarios they can be used in. I could only use the 2 front ones. Will need to modify the cabinet or find some other solution to fix the back of it.

Installed myself with every thing provided for a successful install. Super easy to clean. Haven’t had it long to comment about reliability but this is mostly a mechanical appliance so not much to go wrong. Great price, great performance

As a result of updating the whole kitchen, we replaced our old freestanding gas cooker with this modern, gas-on-glass hob. The hob has been, on the whole, a disappointment. It is very difficult to keep clean. This might be the case with all black glass hobs, but even split water leaves marks which are not easy to deal with. I appreciate that the burners are supposed to be of differing strengths, but the reality seems to be one hob that takes ages to heat things up (but at least will simmer nicely), and 3 which are too fierce. The worst thing though, without a doubt, is that the thing is dangerous. Without pans perfectly centred on the supports, they will easily topple. And because of the layout of the hob, it's very difficult to have more than 2 pans on at a time which aren't encroaching on each other. The horrible 80s cooker we had before was easier to clean, cooked evenly, and saucepans never even threatened to fall off their solid stance. Note: Amazon appear to be showing the 5 burner model in my purchase hsitory, but this is the review of the 4 burner version which we bought.

This hob is fabulous ! It looks super cool , a joy you use & great value for money as looks expensive .. Reviews were varied but I am delighted and I’m fussy .

Pratica e funzionale, facile da intallare e molto facile da pulire, rapida nell'accensione e molto bella nel design. Nulla da eccepire, arrivata in anticipo rispetto alle previsioni di consegna. Sono molto contento e soddisfatto.

Il piano cottura è molto bello esteticamente e si adatta perfettamente per sostituire un vecchio piano cottura a quattro fuochi senza ritoccare il foro di incasso. Comodi i supporti per le pentole che non necessitano di adattatori anche per pentole piccole e per la caffettiera. Non molto buona la verniciatura dei cappellotti degli spartifiamma che si è scrostata dopo poco per l'elevato calore del bruciatore rapido. Peccato anche la presa elettrica inglese che necessita di un adattatore. Si pulisce abbastanza agevolmente ma bisogna fare attenzione a non lasciare aloni. Meno agevole la pulizia degli accessori in lega smaltata. I ricambi si possono ordinare direttamente online alla Millar. Un po' costosi.

Ottima qualità costruttiva, vetro spesso e robusto, belle le griglie in ghisa: più stabili di quello che pensavo!, i pomelli di regolazione sono in metallo e l'aspetto complessivo è migliore di quello che appare in foto. Ottima anche la dotazione dei raccordi per il tubo del gas ed i getti per eventuale gpl. Visto che arriva con presa inglese, consiglio l'acquisto di adattatore da UK ad EU per non dover tagliare il cavo elettrico. Comodo da pulire!

Prodotto arrivato nei tempi. Ottimo imballo. Montato su un'isola in marmo nero è bellissimo. I fuochi sono sufficientemente distanti da poter posizionare più pentole allo stesso tempo. il montaggio è stato semplice. io ho cambiato la presa perchè in dotazione arriva con quella tedesca, ma si può anche utilizzare un adattatore. Consigliatissimo. Montato è veramente bello. ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

La spedizione è stata lenta ed imprecisa. Pro: Imballo buono., dotazione completa. Ottimo design Funzionamento ottimo delle valvole di termocoppia ed ottima costruzione complessiva Contro: dotazioni migliorabili, le guarnizioni sono infatti di qualità mediocre. Innesto per erogazione del gas all'interno del piano cottura non molto pratico e poco manovrabile per facilitarne l'installazione. Spessore un po' ampio, installabile su un top da 4cm ma meglio se si dispone di un top da 6cm di spessore. Difficilissima da pulire, non beneficia di nessun trattamento oleofobico
