worked for my 1997 Toyota Avalon
Why did you pick this product vs others?: worked for my 1997 Toyota Avalon. For some reason I thought it was purely plug and play but just note that I still had to solder (which I used a heat gun and solder tubes for) some of the other wires on the harness, and additionally a different harness which connected to my head unit required soldering so that the speakers and amp would receive power.

Don't forget to connect the blue wire! Works Great on my 99 Avalon.
I forgot to connect the blue wire that gives a signal to the stock amp in my 99 Avalon. I connected all the RCA inputs and did not connect the blue wire to signal the amp. I thought I had a faulty second hand head unit or that it would not work. I read from someone to connect the blue wire and BAM! it worked like a charm. No extensive amp bypass kit, just worked with the stock speakers and amp.

pinned in wrong spot and acc12v red wire was keep popping out.
4 pre-amp audio cables did not work at all and 12v yellow wire was pinned wrong along with ground wire. the ground was pinned to signal negative which is not neg body ground, causing new head unit to go nuts. maybe I just got a bad unit but since wires were popping out of housing, I have to assume that quality in construction is poor as well. I wouldn't recommend this.
