Display Port to VGA Cable 6FT, DP to VGA Adapter Male to Male

Purchased to use an older monitor with a new computer. Worked well.

My situation is that I purchased a new computer and tried to use my existing monitor with a minor problem. My monitor has a DVI port and I tried to use it. It started out occasionally not working with a message about digital incompatibility. That gradually turned into an all the time problem. I decided to deal with the problem by replacing the DP to DVI adapter cable with this cable which is a DP to VGA cable. Problem is gone. This cable solved the problem. Aces - simple solution.

This item works great and is the perfect price. I bought one 3 years ago and it only broke because I was careless when moving it around. I am buying my second one and it works great!!!!

Works perfectly well for a 60hz monitor. If your monitor is capable of higher than 60hz refresh rate the cable will not support those resolutions. You will get an image, but it more than likely will have some text blur- usable but irritating.

His was the year we needed to upgrade our computers, but wanted to keep our legacy monitors-enter this adapter. It works great! Connects our VGA monitor to the DisplayPort on the new computer. Super easy to install, just plug and play. The length works just fine so we don’t have a bunch of extra messy cord. Feels durable and so far so good and had a very comparable price point of similar adapter cords

Husband wants to install a second monitor on my new desktop computer, but the cord he had was from my old computer, which required an adapter. He found this cord on Amazon and it has the proper plug to fit the CPU -- no adapter needed. Plugged it into the 2nd monitor and it started right up. (Now if we could only get the 2 monitors to display 2 different screens ... guess we're going to have to hire a computer geek who makes house calls for that.)

We purchased 100 of these cables in early Aug 2024. Since then, we have discovered about 40% didn't work upon arrival. By the time we discovered so many of them didn't work, we were outside of the return date. Great price however we've now had to purchase more due to almost half not working at all. Better to go with the more expensive ones out of the gate than have to buy them twice like we did. Wouldn't recommend this company going forward. Update 11-19-24: Of the 60% that worked upon installation, all but 12 of these stopped working entirely within a 6 weeks of installation. In short, of the 100 we purchased, 12 are still working 3 months later. Highly do not recommend this product.

Needed this to hook up a slightly older TV to a newer computer tower. Works great!
