I love this vest. I did my research beforehand and looked at quite a number of different ones and although this was proving to be the most expensive, it had some legitimacy to be so: The material is tough, the quality of construction is excellent, the design has obviously been tried, tested and improved upon to produce an excellent fit and function. It's major advantages over almost all the others vests is the webbing fit at the sides and the tiny weights. It allows for perfect distribution and balance, progression and comfort. There's a tool (a slip of metal) that comes with it that allows you to put the weights in and out with ease. The final clincher for me was that Iron Wolf (a US marine from youtube) uses it repeatedly in his training. I respect his work and ethic, so if it's good enough for him to not only use, but go back to repeatedly, then it's good enough for me. On average I'll use it 2 or 3 times a week. It's stood up magnificently. This has been made to last. What it's done for my training is early days, but it is all positive so far. Whereas I'd give most gear purchases or training adjustments like a 1% improvement to performance, I've found a weighted vest may be something like 5-10%. I think it will certainly help me achieve progress over the next year as I push and consolidate the improvements. And because of the design, I'm not limited by what exercises I can do whilst wearing it - I can still do floor exercises (without the vest or weight digging in to me), twisting, flexibility, weights, cardio etc. They are all still doable whilst maintaining balance and control. Yes it's expensive, but for me it's proven a worthwhile and excellent purchase from a company that obviously cares about what they produce and how they treat their customers. These are important qualities to appreciate.

If you're looking for a weighed vest to exercise, look no further. We did a lot of research into vests and these have to be the best fit, easy to use, easy to adjust and the fit really helps you keep it on for as long as your workout is without getting annoyed with the shoulder coming off or velcro tapes undoing themselves. It is absolutely brilliant. Watch youtube for recommended physio exercises with this vest. A great investment for our health. We have to thank the physiotherapist on youtube that recommends this - she is 100% correct. Many thanks!

Review after 3 months: I have been running 5 times a week for about two years and I felt I had plateaued, I was not seeing much progress lately. So I decided to add weight and this vest was recommended on several "best weighted vests" lists. It comes pre-filled with 10 lbs and 10 extra pounds in boxes. I decide to not add more weight at first as it was already making a big difference. It was really hard at first, but you get used to it. Then I added 5 pounds a month later, which was mistake, the big weight difference was like starting all over again. so Instead, I slowly added weight over time until I reached the 20 lbs. The result? I have made huge progress in just three months. I run with the vest during the week and without during the week end. My pace has greatly increased, it used to be around 5:30 min/Km. Now when I don't wear the vest, it's around 5:10 without even trying, and under 5:00 when pushing a bit harder. My legs feel much stronger overall and I can tell they got bigger. Like I said, I had been running regularly for the past 2 years, and I have seen more changes and progress in the last 3 months running with the vest than in the last year. Now in order to get these results, I had to run 10km almost every day for two months, it won't do miracle if you only go run once a week (but still, it should help) Now about the vest itself, I have been using it almost daily and so far so good, no sign of wear. The way it's designed is great: beside the extra weight, which is the point, it does not bother you when running, with the weight spread evenly. You can even move the weight around : I like to have a bit more at the top than the bottom. But you won't feel unbalanced like you had one massive 20 lbs weight strapped to your chest. Some people complained about the fastening system on the side. It's true, it was not holding in place for me either, but I just tied a knot right after the fastener and it has not bothered me since. Overall I'm very happy with it but I only give 4 stars because 400 CAD is still very expensive.
