Congratulate me! On December 31, 2019, I retired from the Federal Government with approximately thirty-five years of service. I worked hard all those years. I deserved this attractive pair of retirement tumblers. It arrived in a nice box suitable for gift wrapping; however, the box bulged slightly because it contained two twelve-ounce tumblers (which are the perfect size), two long rubber straws, and one thin cleaning brush. The tumblers coordinate well with each other. One is red and the other is black. Each has their own matching straw. The straws are bent at one end and long; they can be cut, but I would never do that. I prefer my straws long. A thin cleaning brush came with the set for cleaning the straws. The wire handle is long and thin and the bristles are short and far apart. This brush will endure for a few years, depending on how often it is used. However, I own a collection of water bottles with plastic straws and have bought sets of cleaning brushes designed specifically for cleaning water bottle straws. I consider the brush a nice bonus. In fact, the rubber straws are also a bonus. I felt excited to obtain just the stainless steel tumblers. The tumblers' walls are very thick and they keep my wine cold for a long time. I don't have to add more than a few ice cubes, if any, to my wine. The lids themselves are very tight. Sometimes, it is a little difficult for me to remove them, which is good. (I don't like loose lids.) My friends, family, and I thought the phrases on the tumblers were humorous. The red tumbler has: "The Legend Has Retired." The black one has: "Retirement: Good Bye Tension Hello Pension." I love drinking various types of wine, especially the sweet, fruity ones. I have drunk wine out of these tumblers while relaxing on my front porch, reading a good mystery, when the January weather was balmy instead of freezing cold. I have also drunk soda, milk, and water from these tumblers. They are easy to clean. It is recommended they be hand washed and not put into the dishwasher, which I totally agree. Unless it is inexpensive glassware or silverware, I hand wash it. Anything of value never goes into that machine. Also, these stainless steel tumblers are not safe for the microwave. If you forget how to clean them, simply look on the bottom of each tumbler. In conclusion, I agree with Amazon's website. These wine tumblers would make an excellent present for anyone who is retiring. They don't necessarily have to be wine drinkers.

These tumblers made for an excellent gift. They retained their temperature quite well though I didn’t time it since it was a gift. The appearance was fantastic, no issue with the lettering or any fading/inconsistency of product color.The only slight issue was that the packaging seems to suffer a little bit as it moves along the destination path. Mine had a rip down the center of the package. However it was also wrapped so the person receiving the item was unassuming of the noticeable tear.Overall it’s a great product, the presentation is fantastic and looks as pictured.
