How many inches is the cleaning path?

Cleaning path is about 11 inches. I can highly recommend this vacuum against models by Shark, Bissell, and Hoover. Its a simple design that only does one thing (cleans carpet) but does it amazingly well. Very light and easy to handle, and designed to be kept for many years.

I have heard you can convert to a throw away bag. Yes? Anyone know the details or a link?

I don’t know. I liked the feature of the shake out bag.

Thought I was buying a bagged vacuum, does this shake out model allow you to use bags?

This model has its own reusable bag, but I understand you can get an attachment to use bags on it if you want. I have had mine for a little while now and it works great.

It's a good vacuum for professional and home use. Easy to repair and maintain for years when taken care of. Better to buy this than a cheap plastic one from Walmart or Target.

Not worth it for our organization. May demand a refund.

We have not even had these for just a few months and both vacuums' belts have broken. We bought these for a theatre and read reviews espousing these as great for commercial use, picking up popcorn, running well. Unfortunately that has NOT been our experience. These vacuums shoot the popcorn across the room instead of sucking it up. BOTH belts have already broken? Replacement belts were purchased and one has already snapped and the vacuums both have a horrible odor when operating of burning rubber. We expect the belts to snap again. What a disappointment and waste of money for a non-profit theatre.
