Wish I'd bought years ago
Had some cubes to put up and they were easier to measure and judge with this rule. Slid across from 1 side to another easily so getting marks on wall was spot on. Was a bit wobbly and awkward to use at first but got there in the end

Pretty handy for templating
Originally saw this on a Facebook ad and found it on Amazon for less. Bought two to connect them together and cover longer distances. It's a very clever design and easy to use. I've cut a couple of worktops to slot into window bays with angled reveals. For a long run, it's a bit tricky to transfer the device from the area you've templated to the surface to cut without thinking one segment might have moved slightly. I did make one mistake on my first cut, which cost me 5mm of fit! That wasn't helped by having to turn it upside down to cut a piece of laminated worktop face down - then the knobs raise the rulers off the surface, making it harder to transfer an accurate line. Solution: use the tool upside down so when you flip it, it will lie flat (and double check a couple of key corners). Still easier than manually measuring and having to work out angles.
