A really easy way to make feta cheese and lots of step by step guidance offered online. The websitefor this company is great. There are instructions fro making cheeses including videos and recipes.There is how to information on making everything from sourdough bread to lip balm and the suppliesare fairly priced. This feta cheese starter worked very well and my family is now enjoying the first ofmy efforts to make this great cheese. It was easy and fairly fast with very little trouble or mess. My13 year old daughter wants to make the next batch so I will let her. She can cook very well for her ageand can follow directions so I am not worried about it. There are several packages of starter in thebox so we will have feta for a while! I highly recommend this company and their products.

I made feta cheese for the first time and it came out great. These cultures came with very easy to follow instructions. This was really helpful as there are way too many YouTube videos on how to make cheese out there. Best part one package does up to an entire gallon of milk. This will make tons of cheese.

Tiny packs only do 1 gallon at a time. Flavor is not very strong. Followed directions exactly and can’t get the “normal” feta experience. It has good flavor, but doesn’t taste like feta. Also, is almost creamy, instead of crumbly.

My main issue with this product is that is purports to be a much easier process than it really is for a first time cheese maker. As a complete newbie, it turned out that I needed several other products that weren't even mentioned in the instructions. I had to look up instructions online to find out what I was missing. Once I did have everything together, the instructions on the other components (ie rennet) differed from the instructions that came with the culture so I basically had to guess on amounts and times. What I ended up with was essentially a salty ricotta cheese...which tasted pretty good. As a newbie who only made a small batch it really wasn't worth the time or money after buying everything that was actually needed. I don't think there is anything wrong with the product itself other than its oversimplification of instruction. I'm sure this is a great buy for experienced cheesemakers who already have everything but I wish I would have looked into it a bit more.
