I have several devices with UK and US style plugs that I need to use while travelling in the EU, and this relatively cheap adapter is a convenient way of powering them. It's much smaller than multi-plug international adapters, as it's a dedicated single-socket EU adapter with no bells or whistles like built in USB charging
