Dogrook Humane No Shock Rechargable Beep & Vibration Bark Collar for Dogs

Let me give you a little background here. My dog is an Australian Shepherd Labrador Retriever mix, so she's got a lot of pent up energy that, unfortunately, we can never exhaust. I work from home, and so I need as much quiet time as possible to take on customer calls and things of that nature... But the smallest thing will set her off. She gets excited? Bark bark bark. She hears a little noise somewhere? Bark bark bark. And it can go on for minutes. No amount of training so far has gotten through to her... We had a bark collar that did beeps and shocks. I hated using it, because I don't wanna hurt my girl.In comes this collar.She's worn it for three days and already I can tell you that she doesn't bark wildly when you come home. She doesn't bark incessantly when she hears a random noise. She doesn't bark crazily when she's excited.Well... Maybe once or twice. Just a sign of "Hey, I'm excited" or "Hey, this is a thing."She hasn't worn it now for a couple days and the improvement is astounding. Even her overall mood has shifted to being a more chill, but happy one. She loves to sit at my feet, or cuddle in bed, and now she's even receptive to training commands like sit, and we're teaching her shake now too.We set our collar to 1. It worked effectively with no pain to her. To make sure there was no pain, I even tried it on myself before I put it on her.

Could not be more pleased and amazed. We have a great dog with aTERRIBLE barking problem. (9mo Irish Terrier.) Was driving us crazy and tried many things to stop her. Lot’s of frustration all around. (Including our neighbors to be sure!)We have an invisible fence and wanted a solution that would not confuse her with her boundary training. (She learned that system very quickly and never gets a correction because she knows her boundaries perfectly.) We first tried a citronella collar but never got the device to function properly and returned it. (I was never thrilled with idea of citronella spaying her in the face anyway...luckily she was never sprayed.) Tried this collar as an alternative. Charged the collar... put it on her... she stopped her barking instantly. Instantly. Same day... done. She went from barking LOUD and LONG and FREQUENTLY to not barking at all. In the last 4days she has barked a single bark here and there and stops. She has a favorite dog nemesis that she used to start barking at 1/2 block before our house until he and his owner got 1/2 block past us. Now she does one quick bark and still follows with great interest as they pass by ... but no barking. She is not nervous or seemingly disturbed in any way by the correction (an audible beep) but is happy and contentedly bouncing around the yard. We truly cannot believe that the fix was this easy and this effective. Raised many dogs and this has been our worst barker. Will update review if anything changes or the effectiveness wears off overtime or she starts to ignore it... but for now an enthusiastic 5star BRAVO from us! A miracle.

This is a great humane collar. The only thing that should be added to it is a function that it only reacts to the dog that is wearing it. I have two cocker spaniels and one has a very deep bark. It sets off my other cocker’s collar if they are in close proximity and he looks so confused because he’s being a good boy. Otherwise, very happy. Simple to operate and charge. Great value.

**updateso after my dog was shaved i put it back on at night not thinking much of it. he had an allergic reaction going all the way around his neck and i feel so awful. also collar started going off when he was quiet too. PLEASE don't get too comfortable with these collars. they do work but you need to be checking for irritation.for some reason my dogs have started barking non stop starting at 4am everyday until i get up to let them out of their crates. i once tried to ignore them for 2 hours. i was at my breaking point crying nearly every morning bc of lack of sleep. today is the first day in months i woke up to my ALARMS. these collars are a game changer. if you are worried your old dogs won't understand and keep barking try it anyways. it's working on my 10 year old lab.

How do I know this doesn't hurt? Because of course I tried it on myself first. Ha ha. It does definitely bother my dog when it goes off (and I can even just sit it by the door because his barking will still set it off!) but it doesn't produce a shock. I think the noise is just very offensive to him. I did put the plastic things over the prongs because my dog has a very long, lux coat.My friend bought another brand which said it was no-shock and it shocked her little dog so badly she almost fell down the stairs. So I'm very glad that this one truly does not produce a shock.

The delayed response to the barking made my dog just get into a bad cycle he did better without it. It wound go off a couple seconds after he barked and got quiet and it would make him bark again then it would delay and vibrate again when he was quiet.

Love this. I loved that it doesn’t shock the dog because I wanted something for my overly vocal puppy. I do not ever leave it in him when he is in his kennel, I just have it on when he is barking too much. It’s a great training tool to make him aware of behavior we do not like. Since it is not an all day everyday tool for him the charge lasts us forever. He doesn’t ever see uncomfortable and has been a total game changer for us. Love it.

We have a growing puppy with a lot of energy. We have been trying to train it not to bark when it needs us or want something. This seemed like it would be a great product for that. We like the idea that it wouldn't hurt our dog and hope that it would help with the training. I like the automation but I have noticed that it seems inconsistent. It doesn't seem to register our dog's higher pitched (and most annoying) barks, which our dog figured out. Now our dog is trained to use her high pitched bark. The collar also seems to randomly activate. Our dog also doesn't seem to be deterred by the beep or buzz when it is excited. Our dog is a mixed breed, with high energy. It looks like a Jack Russell and border Collie. We're waiting for the DNA results to come back. I can't recommend this product for young dogs with high energy based on our experience.

J'ai reçu le colis en 2 jours ce qui est super!!Utilisation facile heureusement car rien en français quel dommage!!Il fonctionne relativement bien, de temps en temps ne semble pas capter le gapement par contre. Mon chien gape beaucoup moins par contre donc je peux dire que je suis satisfaite tout de même. Bonne qualité et semble robuste, je n'ai pas essayer sous l'eau encore par contre à suivre....il est arriver pleine charge donc utilisation immédiate possible. Reçu le 26 au matin et à toujours de la batterie le 27 a 12h , c'est bien!!! Je recommande le produit sans estimation jusqu'à présent!!

works well but the buttons to open/shutdown are awfull and very hard to close

2nd one now have 2 verbal dogs so bought another bark collar can’t fault them does the job every time. Charging once a week dogs learn very quick.

I really like that this bark collar works without a shock. My dogs don't like it and won't bark with it on, but I have put it against my own skin and it doesn't hurt so I don't feel guilty using it. I have guard dogs - Dobermans - and I adore the breed and feel safe with them guarding my home. But we recently moved and now we have a public trail behind our rental house. I want the dogs to keep guarding my house but I can't have them barking every time someone walks back there! This works perfectly because I take it off at night or when I am leaving the house, but it keeps the dogs from barking when they run out during the day.

Very good battery life and 2 distractions for a dog that barks, a buzz and a beep. It supplements a collar that functions with a remote. The remote is very good for training… not just stopping barking; however, it is not practical to carry a remote every where or to have that collar on the dog all of the time. This collar does an excellent job of interrupting/stopping barking without having to constantly monitor the dog in case it decides to bark.
