PLAY Everyday Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for Face & Body

Pros: This sunscreen has become part of our morning routine because it actually makes getting the kids out the door faster. I was using a mineral formula before and it took forever to rub in, plus it left a heavy white cast on their skin. This one comes in a pump bottle that dispenses just the right amount, and the texture has a nice glide to it without feeling greasy or too thick. There is no white cast left behind at all, which was the main thing I was hoping to fix. It is also fragrance free, and since my kids have eczema that mattered a lot to me. Neither of them had any irritation or reaction after using it, even on more sensitive areas. It held up well through sweat and outdoor play too, so I felt confident it was actually doing its job during long days outside. Cons: The pump mechanism does not work as well once you get toward the bottom of the bottle. I ended up having to unscrew it and scoop out the last bit by hand, which felt a little wasteful given how much product was still left in there. The price point is also on the higher side for a sunscreen, especially when you are going through it regularly with two kids. It does perform well enough that I think the cost is justified, but it is still something to budget for if you are a family that reapplies often.

Love this stuff! Glides on, makes skin feel soothed and hydrated while providing excellent sun protection. No sticky residue or chalky finish. Doesn't irritate my eyes, nose or skin. Even improves the overall look of my skin. Wonderful, effective lotion. Just super! Just try it!

I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens over the years, and this one has quickly become a favorite for everyday use. I bought the Supergoop! PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 50 to use both on my face and body, and it’s been easy to work into my routine. Right away I noticed how lightweight it feels. The lotion spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy or heavy residue. I don’t like sunscreens that feel sticky or make my skin shiny, and this one doesn’t do that at all — it feels very comfortable, even when I’m wearing it all day. I also appreciate that it works well under makeup. I’ve worn it on days I’m going out and on days I’m just at home, and it never pills or smears my foundation. On my body it doesn’t leave a white cast, which is something I’ve struggled with in the past, especially on my arms and chest. The scent is mild — not overwhelming or chemically — and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I have a tendency to break out with some sunscreens, especially heavier ones, but I haven’t had any irritation or clogged pores since I started using this. I do find myself reapplying throughout the day like you’re supposed to, especially if I’m outside for long periods, but that’s true of every sunscreen I’ve used. For daily errands, work, or walks outside, it’s been great. Overall, this has become my go‑to everyday SPF because it works well on both my face and body, feels lightweight, and doesn’t mess with my makeup or comfort. I feel confident wearing it and will definitely buy it again.

I've had to wear sunscreen for years now - due to this weird reaction my skin has to the sun (polymorphous light eruption) and putting on sunscreen every day has not always been my favorite thing. I've used dozens of brands in the past, with varying degrees of success, but I've noticed this one stands out for me the most in that by the end of the day my face is not red, hot, my ears don't have a burning sensation the way previous sunscreens left me by the end of the day) - which to be fair, I don't reapply every two hours because that's too much work. However... I've been so pleased with it, it's a little greasy / gross at first but it rubs in and after 2-3 hours, I don't really notice that it's on my face / body. PLUS... I don't smell like a beach anymore. It's nice to not hug people and they be like "why do you smell like you're going to the beach or a pool" LOL. It's a little expensive, but for me (with my specific condition) it's nice not to have little bumps on my face or body from the sun because the protection lasts all day (even though technically you're supposed to reapply it every 2 hours). I put it on my face, and I have sensitive skin - but zero issues with it clogging my pores or giving me any issues. I haven't had a single pimple or blackhead since using it. And I sweat and hit the gym 5X a week and no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend :)

Feels pretty nice on the body, though a little heavy for the face. Not a mineral sunscreen, so minimal white cast. It works fine as a typical chemical sunscreen. The scent is okay and not too heavy. A bit overpriced. I am annoyed that I searched reef safe sunscreens, and this was pushed by Amazon. I should have paid better attention to the ingredients prior to purchase, so it is mainly on me. It has the same ingredients that cause harm to reefs as other non-mineral sunscreens, so don’t purchase if you are specifically seeking a reef-friendly sunscreen. I’ll use it as a daily sunscreen on my hands and arms until it runs out, but I don’t see why I would repurchase it.

Love it. No white cast on my dark skin, it’s easy to spread and it’s moisturizing. It’s a little sticky for sure but overall I love it for my body

I’m really bad about consistently wearing SPF on my body and have been searching for a daily body spf for awhile. I hate smelling like sunscreen and when the smell clashes with my perfumes. 😖 I really enjoyed supergoops unseen sunscreen so I decided to purchase this one for the body. Pros: extremely lightweight, no greasiness or oiliness at all. Zero white cast, the second you start rubbing it in it turns invisible and feels almost like nothing. I have colorful tattoos and it does not leave a cast over them at all and rubs in completely clear. Mild pleasant fresh/citrusy smell, it does unfortunately still have somewhat of a sunscreen smell but it’s very light (I have to have my nose close to my arm to smell it) and the herbal citrusy fragrance helps balance it out and make it more pleasant and tolerable. A little also goes a long way, so although it may seem a little pricey for a sunscreen I can imagine this lasting a long time. Cons: definitely not the strongest or worst I smelled but I am a little sad it does still have that sunscreen smell, however compared to other sunscreens I’ve tried it’s the best smelling one still and I’m willing to tolerate it for all the other positives. 😓 after trying so many body spfs this may be the best you’ll find scent wise. Not super moisturizing for a “lotion”, doesn’t really feel or give lotion vibes to me, just feels like a normal lightweight spf if that makes sense, I honestly don’t mind though since I prefer to use a normal moisturizer with it. Overall I think it’s a great option for an everyday high quality spf, especially if you have tattoos you want to protect without compromising the vibrancy. Highly recommend!

Bought this for the kids (cough cough myself) and was so pleased that it goes on clear and smells so good. The dispenser is perfect and makes me much more likely to use it (lazy I know but realistic of who I am as a person).
