CHI 44 Iron Guard Style & Stay Firm Hold Protecting Hair Spray

This is a regular Amazon purchase of mine because it works, plain and simple. The CHI 44 Iron Guard Style & Stay is my go-to for both heat protection and hold, and I love that I don’t have to layer multiple products to get the results I want. I use it every time I style my hair with heat, and it’s never caused any damage, even with my extensions. That’s a huge win, especially since some sprays can leave them dry or stiff. This one keeps everything soft, smooth, and protected while locking in the style for the whole day. The hold is firm but not crunchy, and it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it feel sticky. I also really like the subtle, fresh scent, it’s not too strong, but it gives that clean, finished feel after styling. If you’re looking for a solid heat protectant that doubles as a hairspray and won’t ruin your extensions, this is 100% worth it. It’s been a staple in my routine for a while now, and I keep coming back to it!

This has quickly become a product I will no longer live without. I have recently cut all my hair off and style it in many different ways. Every way I style it, I use this product to set. It lasts ALL DAY! my hair doesn't budge but it isn't stiff either. I curled my hair, and went to sleep on it, woke up the next morning and it still looked great! It doesn't make my hair greasy after using it multiple times and days in a row, and it doesn't get sticky or heavy. I genuinely am shocked at how much I like this spray. The ONLY thing I don't love, is the scent. It's not a bad smell, I just wish it smelled different. Maybe a bit less masculine. But it works that well, the scent I can live with.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! Game changer! Obviously I’m not Greg I’m the wife. But seriously, man I wish I’d found this a long time ago!! I will never not have this going forward.

This is a great heat protector , it holds your style for days as well , but the directions say for use on dry hair , I sprayed each section and it was stiff, then brushed through and curled as usual , the style held up , three days later the product is holding a little of the curl. Seems like it controls a little of the oil production , but that is not a claim on the product ! I used this on my natural hair as well as hair extensions and did not leave a residue or noticeable stiff or sticky feeling , the smell is initially an aerosol smell but dries down and does not leave a noticeable pleasant or unpleasant smell very neutral. I am someone who gets very very irritated by strong smells. It will make me nauseous and dizzy and give me headaches and I didn’t even think about it.. I always look for reviews with that information because of the effect it has on me this had no effect.

This product works to hold my style (I used it for my waver iron), but I do NOT like the smell. Also, it made my hair feel crunchy! I had to add oils and spray detangler (mine smells like coconut) to cover the fragrance, but my hair was still stiff! I used a different Chi thermal spray for flat ironing before & it made my hair so silky! (I forgot which one it was though.) Obviously it was NOT this one. Will not re-purchase it, looking for a new thermal hair product.

Love this spray. I use it in dry hair to set my Velcro rollers. I gave very fine hair and struggle getting volume. After a get my makeup on and am dressed I take each tiller out and hit it with the curling iron. Then just fluff it with my fingers. Holds all day. Great price. Not stiff or sticky. Only takes a tiny mist. Lasts a long time. Great quality product. Weightless

This stuff works perfectly! I have curly hair that I have blowned out straight and flat ironed with Chi Silk infusion every 3,weeks. Twice a month I like to wear some curls so I use a curling iron at home and the curls never stay. So I’m putting extra heat to get them to stay which is terrible! I bought this stuff and my hair holds all day and it’s also protected from the extra heat. I also don’t have to hold the curling iron on it that long at all. This is great to keep your hair healthy. Just follow the directions! It’s the best! Wish I knew about it a long time ago!

Works great. I had no smoke or flyaways after flat ironing. The hold was good for me having thick, dense hair. If my hair was fine, I would opt for less hold. I still use Iron Guard spray for wet hair before blow drying and this is the perfect finisher for dry hair. The spray was not sticky to me and the hold lasted. I’ll buy this again.
