I purchased this item as I don't have always have eggs in the house being as I live alone and I used half of the 1kg bag at the present and I measured the water and it came out a little runny to start with and perhaps I didn't mix the batch long enough but I turn the mix into raisen fairy cakes which are reasonable to eat and the extra moisture helped I'll use the rest very soon.

Easy Egg Free Cakes
A really easy egg free cake mix , just add water and whisk, light and fluffy, all rose perfectly. They stayed fresh for a couple of days , my only problem was the after taste of bicarbonate , raising agent, . Certainly the easiest egg free cakes I’ve ever made just wish you couldn’t taste the bicarbonate of soda , depends on your taste buds, my husband couldn’t taste it , typical.

Method: Take 1kg sponge mix and 500m ml water - Place mix in machine bowl fitted with a whisk - Add water and mix on slow speed for 1 minute - Scrape down thoroughly and whisk on fast speed for 10 minutes - Bake at 180-200 C (360-400 F) for 18-30 minute dependant on size. Let the cake cool down and decorate as required, add fruit for colour
