Does this shade come with hook set?

Mine did come with rope, no other hardware for mounting etc.

How would you hang this over a pool, if there is no roof or anything to attach it to?

I would put cedar 4x4 posts in the ground with a little cement. They are strong and weather-proof for 15-20 years (used on fences).

Are these rain roof or more just for shade?

I have a 16'x16'x16' and it is NOT rain proof. Like other mesh shades rain droplets will drip thru, but it won't be like you're literally standing in the rain.

How much does it weigh per square foot?

The entire thing weighs nothing, it is exremely light weight
