These appear to be made of brass and I used them to connect my non-brass hoses to the brass faucets. I had them fuse together once and thought these would serve as sacrificial parts rather than risking the hose bib plumbed to the house. I use Teflon plumbers tape as an extra precaution just in case. I feel the quality is good and would buy again.

Great product. Fits perfect!
This adapter comes in as savior. Due to leakage issues with my old hose, I got a new hose from Amazon that was a more recent stretchable model. I had issues connecting the same to the water line. That’s when I found this 1/4 - 1/4 adapter which worked like a charm.I used plumber tape along with the washers which came with the adapter and now not a single drop of leakage. I highly recommend this product.
