How is the bass with these speakers? Most of my music wouldn't require much, but I do like the occasional gangster rap album.

I just set up a pair sourced by a Victrola unit that I picked up for convenience in my second parlor. The Victrola has modest and uneventful sound. These speakers changed everything. The room is 15’x25’ with 9’ ceiling and exposed historic 3x 8 floor joists every 20”. Playing cd’s I am now getting concert hall sound with surprising base. I have them playing moderately loud, but not head banging loud. They are much more than I expected and certainly for the price. I highly recommend if you want good sound on a budget and are not wanting as party speakers.

Will they work well as TV/home theater speakers?

They could. These speakers accept RCA inputs (the round red and white connecrors) , so as long as your TV or device outputs to an RCA connection, you can use these speakers. They also come with a 3.5mm adapter so you could connect a mobile phone, tablet, pc or similar device. If you already have a stereo system and are looking for speakers for it, these are not the best option. These speakers have a built in amp, and the right speaker doesn't accept standard speaker connections as input.

Are these speakers bluetooth?

This particular model of the R1280 series - the R1280T - does not have Bluetooth. But Edifier makes several different models of R1280's, and one of them - the R1280DBs - does have Bluetooth. ZDNet recommended it as their "best value" computer speakers.
