This is exactly what I was looking for! Great retro look that fits right in with my IROC-Z’s interior. Wiring was super easy with a compatible harness. Sounds quality is more than adequate with lots of fine tuning in the EQ menus. This is paired with aftermarket speakers and together it’s a night n day difference compared to what was stock in this vehicle. Sure you could go balls to the wall and install amps & subs etc but to keep this as stock as possible, this is the way to go! 🔊👌🏽

If you’re looking for a retro style stereo with bluetooth and DAB capabilities, this is perfect. A bit pricey compared to others but the product is well worth it in terms of figment, style, user interphase and esp sound quality. The seller was very efficient. My suggestion is to read the manual in order to use all the functions of this radio. Install was very easy (installed the radio and speakers in my E21, 1982 BMW). After adjusting the color to my liking, the radio looks right at home with the rest of the interior. Only downside so far for this radio is the price point.

First of all, if you have a car from the 80s or early 90s, there aren't a lot of options for a period-correct-looking stereo. This one fits the bill. It's definitely a huge improvement over the disco-ball-looking atrocity you probably currently have. The good: * Installation is good. Comes with necessary hardware - including a mounting frame that will lock the unit in place in your dash. DON'T LOSE THE TWO KEYS THAT YOU SLIDE DOWN THE SIDES TO RELEASE IT, THOUGH. * Has subwoofer output. * Display brightness and color are adjustable, so you can match the look of the rest of your dash. * Bluetooth works perfectly (which is something I can't say for my brand new BMW.) * USB, SD, and even 1/8" inputs! The bad: * The display is very basic. Even in 1988, I think most car stereos had better displays. * There is no "pause/play" button on the head unit! But, there are THREE different ways to skip or repeat tracks. This is unbelievable to me. You have to use the remote control to pause/play your music! And, when your phone connects on startup, it usually begins with the music paused. If a remote control for your car stereo is your thing, then, great. However, I hate having another thing rattling around my center console and it's ridiculous to have to pick up a remote when the actual stereo is also within arm's reach! I was super excited about this stereo until I realized that.

Looks great and works just fine but it’s very cheaply made . Volume toggle has tons of play, plastics are frail.

I love the retro look and how it looks almost OEM in my 1997 Mazda Miata. Set-up was very easy and it was simple to install. Overall the build quality was ok, the volume knob being my biggest gripe. It was very loose and wouldn't always work despite turning it. Unfortunately after a little over one year, the radio no longer turns on and the volume knob broke meaning the unit is basically completely useless unless you use the provided remote. Considering this head unit is over $500 at the time of purchase, this is completely unacceptable. It is also complete unacceptable that there is basically zero customer support for this item in the USA and North America. While when it works the unit is nice and performs well, the price, build quality, and the fact that it is bricked after only a year makes this one of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made.

Awsome does everything a modern radio can do and looks the vintage of my car from 83, exactly what I wanted. Worth the money if you want a vintage look without the hassle of a vintage radio.

Love love love this radio. Looks brilliant in my 1987 BMW M635CSi and has great sound quality too. Only complaint is that incoming phone calls are a little quiet, but that might be sortable in the settings. Really happy with this product. It was relatively easy to fit, but connecting to the original 80s amp was tricky because my old head unit had a 10 pin connector that linked to an 8 pin DIN. I had to get a friend to make me a bespoke connector that linked the car’s 8 pin DIN to the new head unit’s RCA connectors.

Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich das werkseitig verbaute Becker Grand Prix aus meinem Mercedes SL R107 ausbauen soll, da ich großer Freund von Authentizität bin. Altersbedingt hat das Gerät jedoch zunehmend Probleme aufgewiesen, von einem teilweise ausfallenden Display bis hin zu funktionslosen Tasten. Man kann die Geräte überholen lassen, jedoch kostet dies mehrere hundert Euro und letztlich erhält man dafür wieder ein rund 40 Jahre altes Kassettenradio, zwar authentisch, jedoch ohne moderne Funktionen. In einem anderen Auto verwende ich seit Jahren das Blaupunkt Frankfurt, welches die identischen Funktionen in einem anderen Design aufweist, war damit bisher sehr zufrieden und dachte daher, ich würde dieses einmal ausprobieren. Die Installation war denkbar einfach. Ich habe das originale Radio ausgebaut, einen zuvor bestellten Adapter für den Mercedes angeschlossen und das neue Radio einfach angesteckt. Wichtig ist, das blaue Kabel für die elektrisch ausfahrbare Antenne einzustecken, sodass diese weiterhin funktioniert. Ferner habe ich einen aktiven Antennensplitter verbaut, um die werkseitig montierte Antenne auch für den DAB+ Empfang nutzen zu können. Im Anschluss konnte ich bereits die Farbe an das für Mercedes typische Bernstein anpassen, sowohl für den Tag als auch die Nacht, da das Radio bei eingeschaltetem Licht die Beleuchtung dimmt. Die Haptik ist ordentlich, gut verarbeitet. Der Druckpunkt der Tasten ist deutlich zu spüren und auch zu hören. Die Funktionalitäten sind zahlreich - FM Radio, AM-Radio, DAB-Radio, Bluetooth - alle funktionieren perfekt. Zudem verfügt das Gerät über eine Freisprecheinrichtung; ob jemand diese in einem Oldtimer verbauen möchte, bleibt letztlich jedem selbst überlassen, ich persönlich habe das Mikrofon unauffällig innen an der A-Säule montiert und bin froh, diese nutzen zu können, falls notwendig.

Ottima per youngtimer (l'ho montata su una BMW E30 320is), design adatto soprattutto ad auto tedesche, dove il modello originale era fornito come costosa opzione. Mantiene lo stile del cruscotto, ma con funzionalità moderne; per il momento non ho montato l'antenna DAB perché ascolto poco la radio e non mi piaceva l'idea che si vedesse. Ottimo il Bluetooth anche per streaming musicale, amplificazione buona e senza distorsioni, nonostante gli altoparlanti dell'epoca. Una sola pecca, i pulsanti ed il pomello sembrano al tatto meno "solidi" e robusti rispetto ai prodotti Blaupunkt degli anni passati.

As many others have said in their reviews, the quality of this unit feels a little lacking. I have a Hamburg (also the new retro version) in another car and it feels better put together than this Bremen, where the volume knob is a bit wobbly and the buttons just have a cheap click to them. However, it works great and I have zero complaints about the sound quality. And it still looks absolutely killer in my BMW E32.
