It may depend on the size. I can easily Hoover my round one 133 x 133. . Very pleased with it.

Q: I would like to lay this onto an existing fitted carpet, will it stay put, please?

i have mine over carpet tiles , one corner sits under armchair but it has never moved or rucked up, was very pleased when i opened and laid down, no bumps or creases , very very happy with it, well worth the money I paid, in all honesty it was a bargain price.
