Just received my order 8/10/20, and I am amazed at how fast it came, considering I ordered it late Tuesday night (8/8/20) and received it on Thursday morning - with no special rush put on it. This item was a gift for my daughter and she was absolutely delighted with it. We are very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of the pieces. We both loved the fact that it included the garlic peeler, spatula and avocado knife/scraper. Instructions (very clear and easy to follow) were included on how to “season” the mortar, which my daimmediately did, using the ingredients and method suggested on the included care card. We had been searching for quite some time for a good quality, reasonably priced mortar and pestle set, and this granite set was a great choice for us. Nice looking and functional! Can’t wait to see if the peeler really works like in the video - but that was not in any way, the deciding factor in purchasing this item, so we are not going to put any importance on it if it doesn’t work. Bottom line is that so far, we love it! This item is as described and we highly recommend purchasing it if you are looking for a quality mortar/pestle set. While this was a gift for my daughter, I have to say that it was so much better than I expected in looks and size.

This fits in any setting, works well, I don't wash it, I was wipe it down with napkins & I add a little sea salt to it grind it & wipe it off again,... It's is as pictured, it last long,.. I've owned mines almost a year & it's still holding solid,... I definitely highly recommend,...

I love that it has substantial weight to it, which keeps it from sliding around as you're really going to town on whatever you're mashing. Don't let the seasoning instructions intimidate you. It's a very easy process. A major selling point to this particular model is the cutting tool. My wife seriously cut her hand while cutting open an avocado. While in the ER, the nurse said avocados are the #1 thing people hurt themselves on in the kitchen. The knife works as shown in the video. My kids love making guacamole. This knife is a safe way for them to do it, or to just to enjoy avocados in general. The little rubber spatula is a nice feature that helps make sure you get every drop of your ingredients out of the mortar. The bowl is fairly substantial in size. Enough room to mash up 3 or 4 avocados at once. The pestle has substantial weight to it as well, which makes crushing things fairly effortless. One of those kitchen items that should last forever. If you don't have a lot of storage room, it's something you wouldn't mind keeping out on your kitchen counter or on top of your bar for muddling ingredients for cocktails. Definitely a good investment.

Very well made Mortar & Pestle. Had a marble one which was too smooth for grinding … was looking for something that was left “bit rough” in the areas needed for grinding and this one is just that. Weight & size is also good if u like using fresh herbs/ spices as u cook everyday. I love making chutneys & pastes of herbs with this.

Good product, decent quality, could be a bit bigger although not an issue for me. Following the initial conditioning instructions is absolutely essential.
