Not a Goodbye but See you Later?
Finally Cole and Jackie kissed!!! Granted it took almost to the end of the book to happen but better late than never! I feel like Jackie played it safe to be Alex’s girlfriend! This book was very much enjoyable! Definitely would recommend to read! Now I’ll go and watch the series 🫶

Netflix Series better than the source material
This is a first for me. I'm accustomed to books far outstripping their on-screen adaptations because books can generally add more depth and context that the adaptation needs to filter out. It's a good novel, and had I not seen the Netflix series beforehand, I would've given this a better review. The story is appealing, but some characters feel two-dimensional, making their actions along the storyline hugely predictable (except for Lee).

Good book
Before I begin, I’d like to note that I read this as an ebook so I didn’t go through the struggles of messed up books.Id really give this book 3 1/2 stars. I read this book after I was about halfway through the television series and decided I wanted to compare my notes with the book. And honestly, I wasn’t the most impressed. It’s not like this is a bad book, but I’ve read better ones. But still, congratulations to writer such a hit book, Ali Novak! Now let’s get down to business. What I liked about the book:First, I think there was a nice flow to the book, and all the characters surface-level personalities were easy to learn. At first I though I could never remember all the characters, but I quickly could see the difference between Jordan and Lee. But you didn’t hear much about the younger children I’ll say that. I do think the book moved a little quickly though, I think the reason I thought that though is bc the television series added a lot more things like Will and Haley’s relationship and selling the farm to another character (that wasn’t included in the book). But that usually happens. 👍What I didn’t like about the book: there was really no character development at all. It honestly felt like you didn’t hear much about coles scholarship and didn’t deal with anyone’s problems. Also, when Alex and Jackie were admitting things to each other, it just felt really random and it was nearing the end so the author had to do this. Another problem, dealing with the grief just didn’t feel right. And Jackie never actually faced her families death at all. When I lost somebody, that’s not how it felt.Overall, if you want a quick book to read or maybe a book club book to start with in your club, you could choose My Life With The Walter Boy’s.

Better than the TV series
I watched the Netflix series and got this to see if the books were just as good. The book is way better!!!!! I couldn't put it down. Not to mention, the physical book itself is small enough that I can fit it in my purse without taking up too much space

Love to the Walter boys
This book was just as incredible reading it the second time. I love the love triangle and the aspect of found family within this book. It also carries the reminder that nothing is ever so broken it cannot be fixed, and that no matter the tragedy you face there is light to be seen. I'm so excited to dive into My Return To The Walter Boys now that I've finished my reread.
