Short Thread
These did not work for my purpose as the thread was too short resulting in it disappearing in to the female connector and then I could not tighten it any more.

Brass tap end hose wick connector
Well made brass quick connector, for fitting to garden tap, very good quality connection, it won't go brittle like the plastic ones

Not an exact swap, but it works.
Not quite as long as the plastic item it is replacing, which (might) cause a problem. Plus, the thread is a couple of turns shorter. However, it fits. It’s well made and it doesn’t leak. Compatible with the other hose fittings, brass and plastic.

Doesn't fit!
I have discovered that hose connections are incredibly complicated and definitely not universal. This was the second attempt to find a hose connector for my spray gun and it doesn't work either. They certainly look strong and sturdy and would have been great if they fitted. Since I would have had to pay to return them, I have kept them for stock - might come in one day!
