OPINELLock Knife Carbon No.7 - Beech Wood Handle

This little knife is really sold and the blade is razor sharp. It's small enough to fit into a pocket when hiking and the blade is nice a snug so is safe when not in use. For me, it the ideal utility knife when wild camping and trekking.

This came with a burr in the middle of the blade that I had to sharpen. I think for most everyday use it would've been fine but for my purposes I needed it to be almost razor sharp. That said once sharpened it does hold it's edge very well. It can be locked open or closed but the locking ring is a bit too stiff for my liking and isn't the most comfortable to operate.You need to clean the blade after every use because any moisture WILL rust your blade. Also note that it is not legal to carry in the UK because the blade is just over 3 inches long

This is the same knife my son uses in his outdoor lessons, which is why we chose to buy it. Its a good size, the wooden handle has a nice feel. It has a locking mechanism to keep it shut and also locked open when in use. Perfect knife for basic whittling.Very smooth when cutting wood!

This is a really well made and ergonomic little knife. Sharp and easy to control. I'm giving it 4 stars as the lock feature is a thin ring of metal that looks a bit cheap and doesn't inspire confidence - if it fails this will cut you badly! sadly mine got taken off me as I forgot I had it in my pocket! Its a good job the security at the museum I was in laughed at the horrified look on my face and nothing more was said!

This knife is an ideal size and is very well designed the wood handle has a nice comfortable feel the locking ring is a bonus and safety feature which prevents the blade from foldingBought this for cutting my plug pipe tobacco slices the tobacco with easeA word of warning caution and care is needed when using as the blade is extremely sharp I could compare it to a scalpel bladeBe very careful especially if you have that shaky handI highly recommend this knife only in right hands and for sensible uses only
