Tipton’s Felt Cleaning Pellets are great for ease of use in cleaning firearm barrels
The Tipton Felt Cleaning Pellets are much easier to use than either square or round cleaning patches. Pushing a square patch through with a jag can be hard (I’ve addressed that problem in two ways: 1. With scissors, make 3 or 4 cuts around the patch’s perimeter; and 2. Bought Tipton’s cleaning pellets :)To address two of the negative reviews, 1. The pellets come off when going back and forth. In doing two or three passes and not going past the muzzle, I have not yet had one come off. 2. Pellet lint came off in the barrel and ruined a barrel brush. After using three pellets with BoreTech eliminator and going B&F, I used a clean, dry pellet followed by synthetic patch. I found two small (~.2mm) on the patch. I also rolled a pellet over Scotch tape, and I did see 7 small pieces of lint. I compared touching a cotton flannel square patch, and again lint showed up on the tape.To sum up, the Tipton pellets are easy to use and clean your barrel well.

Stick to VFG brand for cleaning pellets
Wow, the other negative reviews were right, these are pretty terrible. I have a collection of VFG brand pellets that I use exclusively (.223, .308, 9mm, .40, .45) but they're a bit more expensive than these. Apparently, the extra cost is worth it. The VFG pellets are a pleasure to use all the way from threading onto their adapter to being durable enough to hold their shape even with vigorous scrubbing of the barrel.I got these Tiptons for my new 6.5 Grendel build and they deformed and stretched out even as I threaded them onto the VFG adapter (thinking that the nut would help hold the pellet on the adapter.) Not a very tight fit in the bore and within a few passes, the pellet started disintegrating and significant chunks of fibers were being shed. I used about 5 pellets and I even had one literally split in half with scrubbing. At best, these are mediocre for light duty cleaning (like pushing one through from breach to bore) but I'll be picking up VFGs next time I order from Brownells.

Not good for my purpose
These are disappointing. I was hoping to use these to do bore treatments with JB paste and that type of thing but you can't pull back on them... they just fall right off the little jag thingy it comes with. If all you want to do with them is push one at a time from breech to muzzle then they work fine but other than that, they are pretty useless. Too expensive for one pass breech to bore cleaners IMHO...use ramrodz instead.

Tipton Felt Cleaning Pellets
Found these will I was surfing on Amazon looking for some gun cleaning supplies. Decided to try them on a lark. They work great. I do not use them for a rifle barrel that requires only minimal cleaning. I stick with Hoppes #9, a bronze brush, and lots of cotton patches. But for rifles with heavy copper fouling, these things are great. I use them in combination with Kroil penetrating oil and my rifle barrels come out as clean as factory new. Will always keep them on hand. I need to see if they can be purchase in a bulk pack.

The materials that they use are horrible
This product is horrible. There is so much dust in the bag from how these are constructed and the materials that they use to construct them. I cleaned one barrel and they completely fell apart in the barrel and in the action. These are not felt as they claim. Literally, there are so many course fibers that come off of these that you spend your time cleaning the fibers off your gun and the action. If you use a strong bore solvent to get copper fouling and the fibers fall off, well good luck with your blueing and your metal, as you will not be able to neutralize it. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought these as they are complete junk.

This sucks big time!
I read the reviews before I bought and ignored it. Thinking it's tipton BIG HUGE mistake they are completely awful the vfg patches won't stay put so if you want to find the patches on your bench and the floor and your constantly want to bend over to pick them up and waste time cleaning THIS IS FOR YOU. When you want to oil or use paste or cleaners and you want to go up and down forget it. This is for the guys that want to go one way only and they fall apart easy as well. Wish I could get my money back. Their are other similar systems out their that are waaayyy better.

they fall apart
they fall apart very easily. fairly coarse. had to fish a bunch out of my muzzle device, Wrecked a brush, full of fibers from the pellet.Over all i would not recommend these.

Does not stay on Jag
Seldom do I write reviews, but this product is useless. I bought this to use with JB bore paste to scrub out copper fouling on an older 7.65. The "pellet" will not stay on the jab for a return stroke; you can only push this through the barrel, but not draw it back down. Very disappointed since I really like my other Tipton products including their fiberglass cleaning rods. Perhaps I have miss understood the intent of these patches, but not a good product in my opinion.

Great product for deep cleaning/polishing
These pellets work great at scrubbing a barrel in much less time than that just using patches and brushes. However, the jag supplied will not work to push and pull the pellet through the barrel. When you pull, the pellet will come off the end. A different jag will be required for real scrubbing.

Poor quality attatchment system
The pellets are fine, but the screw head doesn't hold them tight so you can't pull them back through the barrel like you can with the nicer european pellets.Either way, I've moved to bore snakes only because they're so much better.

Jag sucks
It ok, but jag is terrible, it is single patch jag, so its not holding patch firm.
