Kyocera Advanced Ceramic Vertical Double Edge Blade Peeler, Black

Have been using these peelers for decades. They remain sharp for years and make peeling so much more efficient than steel blades. Just have to treat them a little more delicately since they will break if you use too much pressure. It's not necessary to use so much pressure since the blades are very sharp.

Best ceramic peeler out there. They have redesigned this peeler to be a double sided blade for use with left or right hand. The original design required a turn to change hands and my son bought it for his father as his father is left handed. The new design is awesome. REally sharp, easy to use, doesn't rust or get dull. Just wash it up with your dishes. I don't put it in the dishwasher because after enough time the handle tends to dry out. Just hand wash and it will last longer. Ceramic blade stays sharp and makes peeling veggies a breeze.

This is a great vegetable peeler! It is similar to the Swedish peelers I have, with the advantage of having the lightness of the sharp ceramic blade. However, it does not have the sharp, pointy end, which makes it a lot easier and faster to remove blemishes and potato eyes with the Linden peelers. Thank you for reading my review. I bought this for my daughter who is left handed and can't use our standard peeler from the store. She was struggling with it, so I gave it a try you have to put too much pressure to make it work, and sometimes it isn't easy to use. I gave 3 stars because it technically works, just not well enough so I am now looking for another option for her.

Best peeler ever. Never gets dull, cuts thin or thicker. Got all my friends using them. Obviously, highly recommend. Had been searching for the perfect peeler for years and now I have it. Don't get the slingshot-shaped one you pull toward you; no comparison. Update: Still works great after about ten years but showing some wear. Can't figure out why they don't just sell the black one by itself, I don't need a knife and it's a dopey idea pairing them. Am going to try the double edge one but want the good old black one.

I've been looking to replace an aging vegetable peeler that I've had for 10-15 years. The steel blades were showing its age and was beginning to rust. I really prefer vertical peelers and I 'think' they are less prone to accidents, at least for me. I've recently tried options from brands I like (eg. OXO), but was disappointed in their performance (weak and shallow peeling). After purchasing ceramic knives from Kyocera over the past year, I decided to give this peeler a try and I'm glad I did. It has a good strong peel, deep enough with a very solid feel. It there is just one small improvement they could make, it would be to make the blade just a bit longer, as it feels just a little small, but definitely usable for all needs.

Perfect, easy to use and clean,not too sharp, but peelsoff so well. Feels durable. Very happy buyer here.
