The media could not be loaded. I have to admit, I was a bit wary about purchasing this item because I was not sure if it would make a difference in sound quality. Well, you know what? It does =)This clip-on tablet speaker amplifier succeeds in redirecting the sound waves from a side-firing tablet to become a front-facing speaker. When I watch videos on my iPad mini, I couldn't help but cup the speakers with my hand to "increase" the speakers' quality and reflect the sound towards me. Doing that works but it gets tiring. This product does exactly that, without having to hold it constantly. This is a lightweight, solidly-built item that attaches to the tablet by magnet and I could go on and on about how it works but please, watch the attached video to hear the difference.I have uploaded a video review in 720p. Overall it was a good value for the amount of money that was spent on it. It does actually bend the sound so it doesn't shoot out of the bottom of the iPad. There is a noticeably difference between having it on and off. I have a gen 5 iPad with an otterbox defender case on it and it does fit. Not great, but it does fit. It does pop off pretty easily if I hit it by accident which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

Don’t know why this has so many mixed & negative reviews. I usually would Never buy an item with such bad reviews. However I really needed something like this. Now that it’s summer I need to have my air conditioner on & the fact that with an iPad Air 2, the speakers are on the side & I was having such a horrible time trying to hear anything. So I looked up something to help & I found this. I couldn’t find anything else to help, so despite all the negative reviews, I went ahead & bought it. Also, seeing that this was being shipped & sold by Amazon, I felt that if something was wrong or didn’t work, I could return it without a problem, because Amazon is always wonderful & easy to send stuff back too. When I got it I put it on & the difference in sound was Amazing!! A huge change in the sound, like night & day! Didn’t expect to hear such a vast difference...sooo much better! Absolutely Love how it works! One of the best items I’ve bought.I only have 1 complaint....why don’t they make one for the IPad Pro? If anyone knows where I can get one, Please let me know. like the concept, but i have a keyboard and case on my ipad to the sound bender doesn't fit well at all

I really wish someone would make a sound bender that fits OVER the iPad case. This one does not fit over my case, but I’ve wedged it in so it is working so far. The hole designed to fit the charger is WAY too small to fit my charger- not sure what kind they think would fit in there. It does work to bend the sound to the front of the iPad, so I give credit for that. My last soundbender had to be duct taped onto my case, so I guess wedging it in is a slight improvement, even if it means the iPad isn’t all the way in the case.

I was always cupping my hand behind the worst feature the iPad have: the side firing speakers. Full blast was directed at people next to me and I can't understand a word in movies I'm watching. This thing does away with ALL the cupping, it directs all the high end at me and not my neighbour. If I cup my hand behind the speakers with this thing on the iPad, I only hear the slightest change. Don't expect miracles, it's not powered, it won't change the sound. it just redirects it.It also fits fine around the silicon cover I use. I don't understand the comments that it does not. My wife uses a book-like cover, it won't fit around, but that cover is HUGE on the speaker end.Just make sure you stash the thing when you put the iPad in a bag, bc it will not be on there when you take it out.

Idea is good, but poorly made. One tab broke off when installing. Did not fit my mini-iPad.

I ordered January 23 and I received at my doorstep here in Manila January 29! Arrived in original packaging and good condition. I attached it to my new iPad gen 8 (see attached photo) which I bought last month in December 2020 I'm amazed with the increase in volume and clarity. This will be very useful for my many Zoom meetings where I need to hear the discussion, but I prefer not to wear earphones which become painful when the meeting goes beyond an hour. Good product! This is value for money!
