Contains pork. :)
Good for beginners bun not enough recipes for some vegetables. For example, there is only one for broccoli 🥦. I would say there could be more recipes for such a popular and healthy product. Also some recipes are made with bacon or pork that I do not eat and consider unhealthy. I hoped that this would be a vegetarian book. All in all it is more about pictures and design than information.

Deceptively simple with great results!
I don't get very hopeful before trying new recipes in this book. The ingredient list looks too short and the method too simple to be that great, but I'm wrong every time!!! These recipes deliver. Pan-roasted asparagus with sunny-side-up eggs is a beloved superfast brunch or dinner, bribery pasta a fun favorite. The roasted Brussels sprouts with maple syrup, baked sweet potato fries, and pan-roasted fingerlings garner rave reviews, which means a lot considering how common these dishes are. If you want to eat more vegetables, this book is perfect for learning how to make delicious ones that are a joy to eat.

It is a very good educational book about basic know hows of vegetables from ...
I just ordered this book. It is a very good educational book about basic know hows of vegetables from prep to recipes. My only issue is with Amazon as they list this book under "Vegetarian" cookbooks. And since I am vegetarian, I bought this book as description didn't indicate it otherwise. And also there was no "Look Inside" to see their index. I still will enjoy this cookbook. Just would be nice if Amazon moved it out of "Vegetarian" cookbooks and also if there is a "Look Inside". Thanks!

Yummy from A to Z
After checking V is for Vegetables out from my local library multiple times I decided to get a copy all my own. Love this book! Great information, luscious pictures and tasty recipes using obtainable ingredients. My family and I have always enjoyed vegetables and this book allows us to take it to a whole, new level.

Ginger Tomato Relish alone is worth the price of admission
I got this book yesterday, and today I prepared the asparagus with pickled ginger relish, which is a chunky concoction of tomatoes, sesame, pickled ginger, scallions and soy sauce (I substituted fish sauce because I was out of soy, and I used 5 tomatoes that I had previously oven roasted, rather than raw). It was amazing. A party in my mouth, and if I never make another recipe from this book that one will be well worth the purchase price, although I suspect the rest is equally delicious!

Worth its considerable weight in gold
Wow, is this a hefty book, and a beautiful one, too! I heard Michael Anthony on the radio and was intrigued. The book is full of really delicious-sounding recipes, many of which are very straightforward. Many of the more complicated ones sound like they'd be a lot of fun to try for a special occasion. We've only made a handful of dishes from the book so far, but we've liked everything.

Favorite cookbook!
I love this cookbook, it has a lot of information and delicious recipes! They are all easy to make and use ingredients commonly found in most kitchens as well. There is also information on individual vegetables which is amazing!

A few recipes are really superb, many are very good, so why just 3 stars?
I give this book three stars because I'm not at all happy when I buy a cookbook, a pricey cookbook, that has a terrible binding. I opened it and it broke. Really, at this price point? Unbelievably bad quality.Recipes are a different matter. I find that the upgrade Michael Anthony gave to the lowly iceberg lettuce is extraordinary. So are a number of others. It is the binding that makes the ook perishable.
