Why are these called 'canvas' when they're wood?!

They are incorrectly described in my view, and should be ‘unfinished wood artist painting panels’

Anyone who's bought these in 2022 – has the quality improved after so many reviews saying they're poorly finished? Thanks.

I found the finish OK but unfortunately they are not square; generally out by a few mm from bottom to top. This doesn't sound a lot until you put them in a tray frame and it becomes obvious.
