Nice egg holder
Needed an egg holder to take some eggs camping. Didn't want to take a whole cardboard box of eggs. This fit 6 eggs and closed perfect. Kept eggs from breaking. Sturdy plastic.

Great product
Love these egg holders and fit very well in my cooler and used for camping, I bought 3 of these to accommodate enough eggs for a weekend + .. Great for saving space and protection of eggs

Very handy! Especially when ur eggs r stuck n a cooler & ice starts 2 melt.
This is great for camping so ur raw eggs don't break (and so paper cartons don't disolve), buying eggs from ur neighborhood hen house (so u don't need to use disposable egg cartons - whether paper, plastic, or Styrofoam), and they last for a VERY LONG TIME! I've had a pair for a dozen eggs each for over a decade and they still look and work great.I only have 1 issue. The clasps that keep the case closed works a little too well. Unless u have super strong nails u need to use a knife or the handle of a spoon or fork to open the clasp. I have started attaching a "church key" (aka: an old fashioned can opener with a triangle on one end that is used to puncture the top of a can twice so the liquid pools out easily. In a pinch you can also use them to open a can but it take a while. Basically, find something that can open the clasp and attach it to a string and tie it to the handle so it's always around. I wish I could only take off a half of a star for that complaint though.

Camping cooler necessity
Perfect size for a weekend camping trip. Closure stays secure in transit, and eggs remain fresh and undamaged in the cooler.

Difficult to open
Difficult to open. I have had other similar ones and this is poorly engineered.

Sturdy and reliable
I like the smaller size. I also have a dozen holder and will sometimes take this along in the camp tote. Itβs nice to move to the 6 later in the weekend.

Protects eggs while you travel - just like you'd expect.
This was great! I went backpacking and was able to bring six fresh chicken eggs for a change, instead of crystallized eggs.Because the egg cups have some stiff interior protrusions on one side, I was concerned about the eggs not fitting, and then about the protrusions puncturing and breaking the eggs when I closed it up. Neither outcome proved to be an issue. I guess the protrusions are simply there as shock absorbers to distribute the force of minor jostles.I would 100% recommend this for a short trip. I may even buy the dozen size for a larger trip.Edit: I used it again on a backpacking outing, and this time, one of the eggs *did* get a small puncture at the top, where those stabilizing protrusions are. It didn't puncture the membrane, though. I wonder if a bit of padded adhesive tape over those protrusions might mitigate this problem. I still recommend the product, though, and will continue using it.
